Is WWE 2K25 Crossplay?

WWE 2K25 is the next-in-line entry of the long-running annual wrestling series we have had more than a glimpse of what it’ll bring to the squared circle. A large roster, many editions, and the classic match types are the staples we’ve come to expect from the series.

The most exciting new bit, though, is the brand-new open-world mode in The Island, where we’ll have to chase to the Head of the Table. It will hardly be a walkover, but whatever surprises we find there, it’ll become a highlight reel when playing with friends.

We hope there is plenty to do in The Island for us who are feeling a little Ucey, but what if one of our Uces is on a different platform? Here are the details regarding crossplay and cross-platform progression in WWE 2K25. 

Will WWE 2K25 Feature Crossplay?

We do not have any official information on whether WWE 2K25 will feature crossplay. However, it is unlikely that the title will feature it. Past games in the series did not include crossplay, and given how highly requested it is, 2K likely would have announced it by now if things were any different this year.

Other 2K games, like NBA 2K, do feature crossplay. It is restricted between Xbox and PlayStation as console players are rightfully worried about the cheating problem on PC.

2K could add a similarly limited crossplay to WWE 2K25 or an opt-in PC crossplay. But, unfortunately, WWE fans are yet again left kicking their heels for another year. It is one of the long-standing frustrations for many players, and crossplay has become a staple for many games, especially those that are better enjoyed with friends.

Does WWE 2K25 Feature Cross-Platform Progression?

Yes, WWE 2K25 will feature cross-platform progression, but it is limited to the same console family, and certain purchases won’t be transferred.

Per 2K’s FAQ, “Cross-Progression and Shared VC Wallet apply to the PlayStation console family, PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. However, DLC items won’t carry over from one generation to another. Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S players will have the shared VC Wallet, but not Cross-Progression.”

All of this is the same as last year’s WWE 2K24. So while there have been neat new additions, the crossplay and cross-save departments remain unchanged. We also don’t have official word on whether the community creations will be cross-platform like in the past, but we expect them to remain unchanged.
