‘I see why he got punched in the nuts’: Browns DT goes off on Jauan Jennings after loss, and reveals what the 49ers WR said that crossed the line

This receiver needs anger management

Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris didn’t hold back when talking about 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings after Cleveland lost 26-8 to San Francisco on Sunday. Harris called Jennings a “hoe” and said the 49ers player crossed the line with his trash talk during the game.

This wasn’t normal trash talk. According to Sports illustrated, the drama happened in the third quarter right after defensive lineman Maliek Collins got hurt and had to be carted off the field. Harris was angry about what Jennings said during that moment.

Harris made his feelings clear to reporters after the game. “He’s a hoe. I want that known,” Harris said about Jennings. Harris also said Jennings said things “that you should not say to another man – ever.” What really upset Harris was that Jennings wouldn’t stand by his words. Harris called it “real soft” because Jennings would say something offensive and then quickly run behind his offensive line.

Jennings talked trash but wouldn’t back it up

Harris even brought up an incident from last week. “I see why he got punched in the nuts,” Harris said. “I see exactly why they punched them in the nuts; I’m surprised they haven’t punched him in the jaw yet.”

That incident happened during the 49ers’ 20-9 win over the Panthers on Monday Night Football. Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig punched Jennings in the groin during the game’s final possession. Jennings then punched Moehrig in the helmet during the postgame handshake. Moehrig got suspended for one game, while Jennings only got a fine.

Star defensive end Myles Garrett backed up what Harris said. Garrett said Jennings used “demeaning and disparaging” language toward his teammates. The NFL has been making headlines for entertainment choices lately, including the league’s Super Bowl headliner selection. Garrett tried to step in and separate everyone, but Jennings started coming at him too.

“I can’t speak for how he was raised, but if you have nothing good to say, don’t say something to somebody,” Garrett said. The league also recently revealed their Thanksgiving halftime performers. Despite causing all this drama, Jennings caught four passes for 39 yards and scored a touchdown in the 49ers’ win.
