How to Turn on the Wind Indicators in PGA Tour 2K25

PGA Tour 2K25 can be as easy or difficult as your heart desires. If you want a true-blue, authentic golfing experience, you can crank all the difficulty settings to the max and try to go out and compete with the best of the best on the tour. However, not all players want a hardcore experience that challenges them at every turn. If you fall into that category, you should enable the Wind Indicators, which tell you which way the wind blows so you can better prepare your shots in PGA 2K25.

Wind Indicators are one of those settings that purists absolutely refuse to use. They say it’s not a real part of the golfing experience and makes the game too easy. In my opinion, Wind Indicators allow you to focus on the finer points of golfing, and even with them enabled, you can still turn up other difficulty settings to challenge your skills.

Regardless of where you stand on Wind Indicators in PGA 2K25, it’s helpful to know how to turn them on in case you just want to focus on your shots. You can see exactly how to do that and what Wind Indicators do for you in the guide below.

How To Enable Wind Indicators In PGA Tour 2K25

Like any setting in PGA 2K25, the game gives you a few options for your Wind Indicators. Before you can go and mess with the setting itself, though, you need to know where to find it in-game.

To find the setting for Wind Indicators, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the settings menu from the main menu of PGA 2K25. If you’re in a match, press your controller’s Options/Menu button and visit the settings menu.
  • In settings, go to the “Difficulty” tab and scroll all the way to the bottom.
  • The setting is called “Wind Display,” and it has two settings you can change.

You can swap between the two settings for Wind Display: “Wind Speed” and “Meter.” If you choose Wind Speed, you can see the exact numerical value of the current wind and a directional arrow that shows where the wind is currently blowing on the course. This is considered the full Wind Indicator in 2K25.

You can also choose the Meter option, which displays the wind directional arrow and the speed fill meter. You’re not getting the numerical value of the current wind, which means you have to do your own calculations when it comes to hitting your shot with the wind.

Naturally, if you want a quote-on-quote easier experience, then turn Wind Speed on, giving you a full view of the wind at any given time. Hardcore players can just turn Meter on if they want a more authentic experience.

How To Turn Wind On And Off In PGA Tour 2K25

Now that you know about the Wind Indicators in PGA Tour 2K25, what about the wind itself? You can actually “disable” the wind, which means the game automatically accounts for wind on each of your shots and factors into where your ball will go. This is indicated by a blue arc that you can see before each shot.

If you see that blue arc, then the game is factoring in the wind for you, which means you have no need for a Wind Indicator. So, even if you turn on the Wind Speed or Meter settings under the Wind Display setting, neither will show up because you don’t need to know the current direction or speed of the wind.

For players with this blue arc, you have a couple of choices. First, you can leave it on and not really have to worry about the wind in 2K25. That’s certainly an option you can take, but it means you’re missing out on a huge learning curve. It’s also not recommended for players who want to partake in online play, as online settings are automatically set to “Pro,” which doesn’t feature the automatic blue wind arc. Instead, you have to rely solely on the Wind Indicators.

The second option you have is to enable wind in 2K25, allowing you to use the Wind Indicators and get rid of the blue arc. This means you have to calculate for the wind yourself. To do that, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the same Difficulty settings where you went to change the Wind Display.
  • Slightly above the Wind Display setting, you will see a series of “Pro” settings.
  • One of them is called “Pro: Wind,” it’s set off by default.
  • To enable wind and the Wind Indicators, set Pro: Wind to “On.”
  • This removes the blue arc before your shots and allows you to see your Wind Indicators

You can also turn on several other Pro settings, including Elevation, Trajectory, Angle, etc. If you want to participate in any online play, turning all of these Pro settings on is highly recommended. However, if you want to play some offline mods in PGA 2K25 casually, you can leave them off, depending on how difficult you want your experience to be.
