Gran Turismo 7 offers the best driving experience on the PS5, and it wonderfully embodies a love for car culture. For GT fans, a few things are as satisfying as a full garage. The best part is that with updates, you always have a couple of cars to look forward to (like the Corvette CX). But what happens when you amass a collection of cars you no longer need?
In most games, you just simply sell them. That idea remains in Gran Turismo 7, but the process is tied to a specific in-game feature, meaning there are some intricacies to be aware of. Here’s how it all works.
A Prerequisite To Selling Cars In Gran Turismo 7

If you’re playing Gran Turismo 7, you already know that the game’s single-player campaign revolves around Menu Books. These are guided tours through the game’s features and car collections, all of which are managed through the GT Café.
Why is this important? Well, cars in the game are sold via the Car Valuation Service, a service that is unavailable until you clear Menu Book No. 39 — the Champion: World GT Series. This also happens to be the very last Menu Book in the game.
Once you finish that, go to the Used Car Dealership from the world map, and you’ll find the Car Valuation Service button in the top-right corner of the screen.
How To Sell Cars In Gran Turismo 7: Step-By-Step

Now that you’re through with the prerequisites, here are the actual steps to selling cars in Gran Turismo 7.
- From the World Map, go to the Used Car Dealership.
- In the top-right corner, click the Car Valuation Service button.
- Browse through your list of cars and select one you want to sell.
- If you have duplicates of the selected cars, a menu will pop up so you can appraise and sell them individually.
- Select the Appraise option
- Now, you can check the car’s valuation history and how much it’s selling for now. If the valuation is too low, you’re better off waiting a day or two to see if it goes up.
- To sell, simply press the Sell button. You’ll get a confirmation pop-up; select Yes to continue.
- After you sell a car, a simple menu will pop up that adds the credits to your current balance.
Some Helpful Tips About Selling Cars In Gran Turismo 7
Now that you’re familiar with the selling process, here are a couple more things you need to know to smartly manage your garage:
- Wheels, Paint, Custom parts, Racing Parts, and Other parts will be returned to the player after selling a car.
- You can only sell one car of the same model every 24 hours. However, you can discard duplicate cars, but you won’t get anything in return
- A car that you are currently driving, cars loaned from Manufacturers Cup, and DLC cars (Pre-order, special edition bonuses) can’t be sold.
- Body Valuation is the worth of your car regardless of modifications and usage. Mileage and engine wear affect this valuation.
- Tuning Valuation is a measure of the worth of mods and tuning parts you added to the car to improve performance. Note that you don’t get money back from the purchase of performance parts. The tuning valuation is based on the parts, yes, but it does not directly translate to the real price of those parts.
