Of course, as with any celebration in the game, you have to do something celebration-worthy to even get the prompt to show your emotions. This includes scoring a touchdown for the most part, but you can also celebrate when you make a lengthy first down or get a turnover on defense. You’ll want to pay attention to the bottom of your screen and look for the celebration icon. When this appears, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a celebration. You must perform the celebration quickly, though, or the icon will disappear, and you won’t be able to do anything.
When the celebration icon is on your screen, follow the steps below to pull off a Griddy:
- After you see the celebration icon, move your right stick up.
- As you flick the right stick up, press and hold L2/LT on your controller. These two button inputs should be performed simultaneously. If you do one earlier than the other, the celebration won’t trigger, or you’ll perform another celebration entirely.
- Holding L2/LT at the same time you flick the right stick is key, and if you wait too long to hold L2/LT, you’ll perform a basic celebration.
For a better look at how to perform the Griddy and how to do the other celebrations in College Football 25, you can go to the pause menu when you’re in a game. From here, there’s a tab dedicated to celebrations. View that tab to see the button combinations for every single celebration in the game.
