In EA FC 25, players are afforded the opportunity to to do Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) in order to obtain highly-rated and sought-out cards for their Ultimate Team squads. Like any card that’s worth getting, these SBCs mostly require users to build out squads that combine for a high team rating, and some of them require uses make multiple squads. In order to do complete these SBCs, you will need to stack up on fodder.

For anyone not in the know, fodder is pretty much what it sounds like — highly-rated cards that are either unneeded, duplicates, or don’t have the necessary attributes to fit into the meta. Good examples of the latter in EA FC history include players such as Sergio Busquets or Olivier Giroud, both of whom possess high-rated cards but not enough pace to be viable on the virtual pitch.

How To Get Fodder Fast In EA FC 25

Unlock Cards And Packs Through FC Season

With each new season, EA FC 25 gives players a Seasonal Track. Players progress through this track by simply playing the game and gaining Skill Points (SP). Many of the unlockables featured on the Seasonal Track are packs and Squad Foundation cards. These are both great ways to quickly collect fodder for you team.

In terms of the packs available, many of them give players a guaranteed 83+ card. And the Squad Foundations players are great fodder as well. At this stage of the game, most players have been doing Evolutions and collecting good cards through rewards anyway, meaning that these Squad Foundation cards don’t hold as much value and can instead be thrown into SBCs for better cards.

Complete Upgrade SBCs

We touched upon this a little bit in our article about trying to get Team of the Year players, but doing Upgrade SBCs is another effective way to accumulate some fodder. SBCs focused on guaranteed players picks or league upgrade packs are good, as are Daily Gold Upgrades.

And these are just the SBCs that are generally available. With each new promo released on EA FC 25, EA typically provides new upgrade SBCs to fit the theme of the promo. So be sure to constantly check for updates in this regard.

Play Champions Playoffs Matches

While completing season objectives and doing SBCs are great ways to accumulate fodder, it goes without saying that simply playing the game will typically yield good results as well. The Champions Playoffs in particular provides good enough rewards for even mediocre results if you can bear to put up with some sweats for a bit.

Champions Playoffs only account for a total of five matches. And even if you don’t do well and finish as low as Rank 5, you are still guaranteed a Small Gold Prime Players Pack, which is worth about 22,500 Ultimate Team Coins on its own. So even if Champions isn’t really your thing, the rewards for one or two Champions Playoffs matches are more than worth it.
