EA FC 25 has released their Team of the Year promo, one of the most important batch of players that will be released all year, to celebrate players who’ve had an exceptional calendar year. Because of how highly rated and valuable these cards are, many players will be frantically opening and earning packs in an effort to nab one. But is there any way to guarantee a TOTY card for your Ultimate Team squad?
Can You Get A Guaranteed TOTY Card In EA FC 25?
So, the first question is: Can you even get a guaranteed TOTY card in EA FC 25? The answer is both yes and no. For any player that signs into Ultimate Team before February 14, players get a free Zinedine Zidane Icon TOTY card. Club Members who’ve owned the game since launch also get a free Evolution for Zidane as well. So if we’re counting him, then yes, you have a guaranteed TOTY-branded card. Other TOTY Icons also have SBCs where you can earn them, such as Gareth Bale and Iker Casillas.

However, if you’re looking for one of the TOTY cards that come in packs, the answer is no, they aren’t guaranteed. But there are ways to improve your odds of getting one.
For starters, you’re gonna have to grind out matches in order to gain rewards. The easiest way to do this is to grind Squad Battles, a single-player mode where use your Ultimate Team squad. When choosing what squad to use in Squad Battles, check out any of the Objectives available that reward you with packs — ideally any objective that grants you a 75+, 81+, or any similar pack as these are the mostly likely to contain the big TOTY players.
If grinding out matches against the CPU, or against other players in either Rivals or Champions isn’t appealing to you, EA FC 25 is also giving away some great packs through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). The following SBCs will give you the best chance of nabbing one of those precious Team of the Year cards:
- 83+ x5 Defenders Upgrade
- 85+ Player Pick
- 84+ x5 Upgrade
- 83+ x10 Upgrade
Again, none of these options will guarantee a Team of the Year card. However, all of them are repeatable, meaning that if you have enough fodder, you can do them over and over again to ensure you the best chance at getting one of the TOTY cards.
