Soccer is full of unique trick shots and passes that players use to outsmart their opponents. Having them in your arsenal is never a bad thing, but getting the hang of these tricks isn’t easy. To make things simple, I’m going to teach one of the simplest tricks in EA FC 26. Often used by strikers to throw off the goalie, the trivela is an effective yet simple technique. Mastering it will definitely give you an edge in EA FC 26.

If you’re looking to perform the trivela in EA FC 26 and outsmart the goalkeeper, you need the Game Changer playstyle. This is a big change from the previous version, where you didn’t necessarily need the playstyle; it would simply raise its efficacy. In EA FC 26, however, players must have the Game Changer playstyle/playstyle+.

The method to perform this trick shot is:

  • L2/Left trigger
  • Circle/B

You need to hold the left trigger on your controller and then shoot to successfully pull off the trivela. The trivela does slightly reduce shot power and accuracy since your player isn’t shooting straight ahead, but it’s great to get around defenders, something I’ll talk about next.

When To Use It?

Okay, you know how to perform a trivela, but is using it each time really a good idea? Well, no. No trick shot is worth using repeatedly since it loses its spontaneity. Mix it up with other trick shots or full-power shots to keep the opponent on their toes.

It’s also not advised to use this in high-pressure situations. If you’re surrounded by 2-4 defenders, the chances of you getting the ball through all of them, plus the goalie in the back, are slim. Not to mention, lower power shots are more predictable and easier to stop. But it’s not all bad.

The best time to use a trivela shot in EA FC 26 is when you’ve run past the defense and are 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper. Or, when you have the ball on your weak foot, and want to hit a more powerful shot.

A trivela shot is known for the outside curve it places on the ball, making the goalkeeper dive the wrong way. Don’t rush into the goalkeeper, and use medium power for the best results. Too much power can send the ball flying, making the shot useless.
