How to Accept and Change Sponsors in PGA Tour 2K25

MyCareer in PGA Tour 2K25 has a plethora of different features and elements that go into progressing your journey. From picking your class and build to unlocking new clubs and Fittings to participating in tournaments and events, you have many content to go through throughout a single playthrough. However, an underrated feature in MyCareer is the Sponsor system, which allows you to sign a contract with a golf brand that gives you the chance to unlock exclusive apparel, clubs, and other items.

Sponsors play a huge role in your progression in PGA 2K25, but they can be slightly daunting at first. After all, you’re signing a contract with a brand, and you then need to fulfill some obligations in that contract, so you don’t want to mess anything up. But what about if you’re going to change sponsors to rock some new apparel out on the course?

How To Sign With Sponsors In PGA Tour 2K25

Fortunately, the Sponsor system is something that comes to you throughout MyCareer. As you progress and level up, you’ll get offers from small-time and big-time sports apparel brands. This even applies if you start on one of the lower tours and don’t jump straight into the PGA Tour at the beginning of MyCareer.

You can view your offers by going to the “Sponsors” tab at the top of the main menu in MyCareer. You can see your reputation with all the brands and which ones you can currently sign with. If you view a sponsor’s box on this screen, you can also see some icons representing what the sponsors offer in return. For example, if you know a club, a polo shirt, and a ball, you can expect to earn those items when you sign with that sponsor.

Once you select a sponsor to sign within MyCareer, you’ll be tied to that brand. You’ll receive some apparel, clubs, and balls to use on the course, which you’ll want to do, as rocking the brand is the only way to level up that sponsor and unlock more rewards.

Every sponsor in MyCareer comes with a Sponsor Pass, which features 10 tiers of rewards you can unlock. These tiers are progressed by playing tournaments, events, or anything else in 2K25 while wearing and using that brand’s gear. The more you play with the gear, the more XP you earn for the sponsor and the more tiers you progress through on the Sponsor Pass. You can view the Sponsor Pass for a specific sponsor by selecting their box in the Sponsors tab.

The Sponsor Pass is a great way to earn additional rewards in MyCareer. It’s arguably one of the best ways to unlock new clubs in 2K25 and you can also unlock some VC through certain passes as well. As I said before, though, make sure to check a sponsor’s icons to have an idea of what rewards they offer.

How To Change Sponsors In PGA Tour 2K25

Just because you sign with a sponsor doesn’t mean you’re locked into that contract and can never get out of it. You can change your sponsor at any time in MyCareer, and it’s done by simply going to the Sponsors tab, selecting a new sponsor contract, and then signing with that brand.

While you’re free to do this as much as possible, you should hold off on flip-flopping between sponsors too often. Every time you change sponsors in 2K25, you reset your Sponsor Pass progress for the sponsor you were just signed with. If you sign with them again, you must start over at the first tier. Moreover, the new sponsor you sign with will also start you off at tier one of its Sponsor Pass.

My advice? Wait until you’ve maxed out a Sponsor Pass or received all the rewards you wanted from a specific pass to change sponsors in 2K25. This way, you’ll not miss out on easy rewards or throw away any hard-earned progress.

Leveling up Sponsor Passes is fairly quick compared to leveling up the Clubhouse Pass or your character, so it shouldn’t take too long to progress a specific pass enough to then efficiently be able to swap to another sponsor.
