Reaves successfully sank his late-game free throws, which led the Lakers to a 127-120 victory. Sacramento guard DeMar DeRozan showed his strong frustration by walking off the court immediately after suffering this brutal defeat. He was visibly angry and disappointed, heading straight for the tunnel without waiting. This quick exit was captured on camera and immediately went viral on social media.

Lakers fans quickly reacted to DeRozan’s angry walk-off and wasted no time in mocking the Kings star. They shared the clip widely on social media platforms, including X, with one user claiming DeRozan was “PISSED” and unable to handle the defeat.

DeRozan Drew Heat After Accusing Officials Of Favoring The Lakers

DeMar DeRozan was clearly frustrated with the officiating during and after the game, mainly due to the huge difference in free-throw attempts between the two teams. He noted that the Lakers shot 46 free throws in the game, compared to the Kings’ much lower total, calling it unfair. In his post-game comments, he specifically questioned the number of trips Austin Reaves made to the foul line.

DeRozan’s public comments were taken as an accusation that the referees were favoring the Lakers. The NBA previously fined him for similar criticism earlier in the season. This led to many pointing out how this is a pattern of frustration for him.

However, Lakers fans defended the officials and argued that Reaves’ aggressive style of play is the reason behind drawing fouls. They diverted the attention back to DeRozan’s frustrating reaction to losing the game, holding his complaints as another sign of his team’s loss.

“It seemed like we’re getting called for fouls, but on the other end when we try to be aggressive, nothing goes our way. It’s kind of deflating at times, especially when you’re trying to get it going… 46 free throws is crazy. It’s crazy.”

Austin Reaves Did Not Take It Easy On The Kings

The fans and sports analysts have been buzzing about the unforgettable performance of Austin Reaves against the Sacramento Kings. The praise is well-deserved as the Lakers were playing without key stars like LeBron James and Luka Doncic. Reaves’s leading the Lakers to this important victory shows his ability to score when his team needs it the most.

The 27-year-old delivered a career-high performance, scoring an incredible 51 points for the night. Reaves was making an impact from all areas of the court, and his most critical move was executed from the free-throw line. He showed incredible composure under pressure after making 21 out of 22 free throws.

Reaves also nearly got a triple-double during this explosive contest as he added 11 rebounds and 9 assists. The late free throws easily secured the victory for the Lakers and were simply the biggest reason behind their win and King’s visible frustration.
