Mario Tennis Fever is only a month away from its release date. Fans are eagerly waiting for February 12 to play Nintendo’s next big exclusive.

Although the release is still a month away, we already know a great deal about what the game will feature. and the roster. Nintendo recently released an overview trailer, which showcased the game and, more importantly, the entire character roster.

Mario Tennis Fever will feature a massive roster of 38 playable characters, the largest in the franchise’s history. That’s a huge increase, even over Mario Tennis Aces from the last generation.

All told, those 38 characters span many corners of the Mario universe. From iconic heroes like Mario and Peach to quirky baddies like Boom Boom and Wiggler. The inclusion of enemies and baby versions of familiar faces adds a playful twist, giving players more options than ever before.

The roster has always been an important part of Mario Party games, and it’s great to see Mario Tennis Fever not lacking in that aspect. It features a reasonably large, fun, and diverse roster of characters from different parts of the Mario Universe.

Nintendo has said Mario Tennis Fever launches February 12, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. It will feature 38 characters to play with. The large roster pairs with 30 special “Fever Rackets” and multiple game modes. 

There is a lot to explore in the new game, and the roster is large enough for you to do that without getting bored.
