'He does that, with the door open?': Former teammate exposes Neymar's unusual bathroom habit at training ground

Man’s got nothing to hide.

One of Neymar’s former teammates has shared a strange habit the Brazilian star has at the training ground. Alexandre Letellier, who played with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain from 2020, said the forward keeps the bathroom door wide open while using it. Letellier talked about this odd detail in an interview.

According to Sportbible, Letellier, who retired from professional football earlier this year, said he was shocked when this happened at PSG’s Camp des Loges training ground. He walked into the bathroom and saw Neymar sitting on the toilet with the door completely open.

He quickly left the room, and teammate Abdou Diallo noticed he looked confused. When Diallo asked what was wrong, Letellier told him what he just saw. Letellier remembered thinking, “He does that, with the door open?” Diallo then explained the reason behind this lack of privacy.

Neymar’s claustrophobia explains his open-door policy

Neymar has claustrophobia, which means he can’t handle being locked in small spaces. Diallo said Neymar never locks himself in and always leaves the door open. It’s not ideal for privacy, but it helps him manage his anxiety.

The 33-year-old is now back at Santos, his hometown club where he started his career. Before returning to Brazil, Neymar had an amazing career with some of the biggest clubs in football. He moved from Santos to Barcelona in 2013, where he played alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. That team won two La Liga titles and the Champions League. He scored 105 goals in 186 games for Barcelona.

In 2017, Neymar made a shocking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. PSG paid €222 million (£200 million) for him, which is still the most expensive transfer in football history. For gamers looking to build strong squads, checking out the best EA FC 25 evolution players can help improve their teams.

He won five Ligue 1 titles with PSG and scored 118 goals in 173 games. However, he never won the Champions League while in Paris. Neymar left PSG in 2023 for Al-Hilal in a €90 million deal. His time in Saudi Arabia was short: he scored just once before his contract ended in January this year. Despite his unusual bathroom habits, Neymar is Brazil’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals in 128 games for his country.
