‘He Does Some Weird S**t’: Sophie Cunningham Slams Tom Brady For Cloning His Dog. Fans Are Shocked That He Used His Previous Pet Lua’s DNA

Sophie Cunningham thinks Tom Brady is weird for cloning his previously deceased pet.

Tom Brady is in the headlines once again after he recently stated that his current dog, Junie, is a clone of his previous pet, Lua. There’s been quite a lot of backlash that has come his way since this announcement, and now, Sophie Cunningham has blasted the NFL legend for it.

Brady’s previously beloved pet, Lua, passed away back in December 2023. He had adopted the pit bull mix with his ex-wife, Gisele  Bündchen, in 2014. He recently shared the clone news with a statement from Colossal Biosciences. It’s a biotech organization that he personally invested in to push genetic engineering forward.

The news of Brady cloning his previous pet eventually reached Cunningham, and she was shocked to hear it. The WNBA star spoke about it over on her Show Me Something podcast and didn’t take it easy on the seven-time Super Bowl winner. She claimed that she doesn’t have a problem with Brady, but he does some ‘weird s**t.’ The Indiana Fevers star added that rich people are into doing weird stuff only because they have money.

“I don’t have a problem with him (Brady), but he does some weird sh*t,” Cunningham said on her podcast. This is why rich people do weird sh*t, because they have f*cking money and they just find ways to do weird sh*t,”

Others Have Also Called Out Brady For The Cloning Process

Tom Brady announced the news that his current pet, Junie, is a clone of his previous pet, Lua, and it did not go over well. The New England Patriots icon announced that the cloning process was made possible with the blood collected before Lua’s passing.

A few other personalities also called him out for the process and called it a weird thing to do. Barstool Sports Founder, Dave Portnoy, also sounded off on Brady for the bizarre cloning process as well. Portnoy has been critical of Brady in the past as well, and has even branded him a ‘money wh***.’

Brady’s dog cloning announcement has been trending on social media for the past few days. The general reaction from his critics has been to call him out and blast him for messing with nature. Netizens shared their reactions over on X, with some treating it as a joke and some taking it quite seriously.

A user on X even claimed that this is how a horror movie starts, with too much money, and that it eventually ends in a bad way.

Brady Has Stated That He Loves Animals

Tom Brady’s family means a lot to him. You can take a quick scan of his social media and realize that. The passing of his previous beloved pet, Lua, was a huge loss. The NFL legend had taken good care of him since 2014 alongside his ex-wife.

Brady has stated that he loves his animals as well, and they mean the world to him and his family. So, that’s why he worked alongside Collosal Biosciences to keep the memory of his old pet alive with Junie, who’s a clone of Lua. While the sentiment might be sweet, it didn’t come off the same way to many of his fans and critics, who have slammed him for this move.
