Gran Turismo 7 patch 1.29 is adding the Sophy superhuman racing AI, Grand Valley Circuit, 5 new cars and PS VR2 support. The team is also adding a Drift Stage scape with support for drift photos and a tutorial to show you how it’s done. The update is scheduled to arrive at 1:00 AM ET on February 21, so it’s just a couple of hours away.
The PS VR2 arrives on February 22Â featuring all of the cars and tracks at launch, but the following cars will be available shortly.

The classic Gran Turismo track, Grand Valley, also makes a comeback in the series with a new look. Its challenging ‘Highway 1’ layout includes high-speed sections and tight, technical corners with large bridge and tunnel sections.
GT Sophy is Sony’s breakthrough superhuman racing AI specifically for the PlayStation 5 in GT Sophy Race Together mode. The time-limited in-game event will be available when patch 1.29 drops through the end of March. Players can access the mode by clicking on the top right panel on the GT7 World Map, which allows them to start a race against GT Sophy once they reach Collector Level 6.
In GT Sophy Race Together mode, players can race against GT Sophy in a series of four circuits of increasing difficulty, as a Beginner / Intermediate / Expert driver. In each of the four races, the player races against four GT Sophy cars of different performance levels. Players can also challenge GT Sophy in 1VS1 mode, where GT Sophy and the player race one-on-one with identical car configurations and settings, which showcases the superhuman racing skills of GT Sophy. The excitement of GT Sophy Race Together mode is enhanced with GT7’s new emoticon feature, which displays emoticons on the GT Sophy cars throughout the race to react to the in-game action.
