The Golf Club 2 Patch 1.03 Available Now For PC, Later For Xbox One & PS4 - Patch Notes Here

The Golf Club 2 patch 1.03 is available now for PC. HB Studios plans to submit to Microsoft and Sony early next week, so look for the patch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 shortly after.

Check out the patch notes below.

•   Staggered Leaderboards in Online Societies – This will hide final results of the round from the user before entering a round and they will see scores unfold during the event, even if the other players have completed their round.
•   Society President Banning – This will give Society presidents the ability to remove inactive users or users who are abusing their settings for their Society.
•   Additional Stat Tracking – We have added personal stats breakdown for number for Birdies, Eagles, Albatross and Hole-in-Ones for the user.
•   Society Search Filters – We have added the ability to sort societies by popularity and by entry fees.
•   Course Designer – Improved stability of course editing when manually planting pieces of grass with brushes.
•   Auto Adding Rivals – Users can turn on auto add rivals during a society event and the game will select players from their round to complete against and will automatically add them to their scorecard.
•   Society Handicaps – Handicap restrictions are now taking effect when joining an event, not only when joining a Society.
•   Added Strokes – Addressed a case where some users were experiencing added strokes to their round after viewing a replay.

  1. This patch has one of the two big ticket items for me... the "staggered leaderboards". I played an official society tournament that commenced today, and it was so nice to not have your ghost playing companion's final score for the round, along with everyone else's, plastered in your face when you finish the first hole. It also updates the leaderboard, hole-by-hole, of the rest of the field's round in progress. This makes it seem so much more like a live, unfolding event. I'm soooooo glad to have this feature back, as we did have it in TGC 1.
The rest of the update is pretty meh, IMO, but everything else they addressed needed addressing, I guess.
The other big ticket item I want is real-time matchplay, with a working "invite to game" pre-game setup screen. I'm not picking up a lot of signals that give me hope for this though, but dayum, I would enjoy the game so much more if it did come into fruition!
I haven't played in a couple of months, have they ironed out all the wonky stuff that was going on before, presumably with their servers?  Last round I played the game was glitching so badly during my swing that I started getting "very slow" timing and hitting drives like 150 yards.

I rarely see a glitch on the PC version, and maybe only one every two or three rounds on the console versions. For whatever reason, I'm having more trouble now nailing the tempo, since the 1.03 patch, but it feels more like that's on me. I'm able to reconcile the reported result with what I felt via my thumb during the swing, in most cases.
BTW, we'll be getting revenge tonight against the Canes for the criminal injustice they perpetrated against us the last time they set foot in Wade Stadium two years ago. My blood boils every time I think about how many times they were actually "down", had a forward lateral, or committed an illegal block in the back during that "miraculous"....(cough) kickoff return ;)
Lol, a comedy of errors for sure.  I'm sure those referees enjoyed watching that tape with their superiors the next morning.
I'll just be happy with the win against Carolina, anything else is icing.

Xbox One version extremely smooth here. Playing it more than the PC version now as I am more comfortable on a recliner in front of 65” 4K HDR set while I recuperate from major surgery.
