With Forza Horizon 6 news and details dropping all over the place, it’s a huge day for fans of the franchise. The official Forza YouTube account just dropped a prologue gameplay trailer that looks incredibly exciting, and the developers also shared a full look at the map on Twitter/X. There are plenty of long scenic stretches, but the game doesn’t shy away from winding roads with curves or bends either.
One of the roads near the bottom of the map looks like a recreation of the Hakone Nanamagari. For those unfamiliar, this is a steep, winding road with a series of sharp turns. It will no doubt be a perfect battleground for Touge Battles in the game.
The Most Impressive Map We’ve Seen In Forza
Just from the official gameplay trailer that just dropped, you can tell that Forza Horizon 6 is something special. The views are breathtaking, and the world actually feels lived in. As you drive down the long stretches, you’ll encounter various cars drifting down the road, a bullet trail speeding over you on the train tracks, and gorgeous flower fields. And ultimately, this is what’s important. Sure, the map’s massive scale is a great thing, but the fact that it feels “alive” is what makes it more engaging than Forza Horizon 5.
Touge battles also appear to be a lot of fun, and even the buildup to one of these races feels exciting. Cars like the Mazda RX-7, the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS, and the Honda Civic Type-R roll into a car meet of sorts, which then transitions to a race. It captures car culture beautifully, and the cherry blossoms in the background make it a stunning ordeal all around.
Speaking of car meets, there look to be plenty of empty garages and parking lots that will serve as great meetup spots. Tokyo itself also looks beautiful, though it very much has a more contemporary vibe going on. It feels a bit like a digital tour of the actual city in real life, which is exactly what draws a lot of people to the Forza games. All in all, we’re suddenly impressed by everything seen so far.
