F1 25 Gameplay Video Features 15 Minutes of Footage Across Multiple Tracks

EA Sports shared a 15 minute look at the gameplay for F1 25, the latest entry in the official Formula One series. The preview, hosted by F1 broadcaster Alex Jacques and content creator Matt Gallagher, breaks down how the game is aiming for a more authentic race weekend feel with updates like LIDAR-scanned tracks, new team radio chatter and revamped podium celebrations.

They also highlight the addition of three reverse circuit layouts including Silverstone, Zandvoort and Red Bull Ring, which are now playable across Grand Prix, Time Trial, Multiplayer and Career modes. It’s the first time these flipped versions of classic tracks are being included in the series.

The video also dives into four of the five updated circuits, showing off the improved track accuracy made possible by LIDAR scanning. Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne and Suzuka have all been upgraded with more realistic details, from building placements to safety barriers and fan zones. These updates bring the tracks closer to their real-life counterparts, down to the smallest bump. Scanned during actual F1 race weekends, the circuits now offer the most detailed and true-to-life experience the series has delivered so far.

“The tech behind LIDAR gives players unprecedented levels of detail, bringing them closer to each race weekend,” said Gavin Cooper, Creative Director at Codemasters. “Also, we’ve carefully selected the three reverse circuits to provide a unique and engaging experience for our players that feels polished, authentic, and fun. The process includes reworking DRS zones, retraining AI, recalibrating sector boundaries, repositioning the starting grid and pit lanes, and more, delivering new thrills and challenges.”

The F1 25 Iconic Edition will be available for early access on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC starting May 27, while the Standard Edition launches worldwide on May 30.
