F1 22 Patch 1.07 Available Today, Adds Portimao & More, Shanghai International Coming September 12 - Patch Notes

F1 22 will receive a free circuit update on August 2 with the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, better known as Portimao. Players will also gain access to China’s Shanghai International Circuit on September 12. These circuits will be available in Time Trial, Grand Prix and Multiplayer modes.

“We know our players love the thrill of competing on more circuits, and they don’t get much better than Portimao,” said Lee Mather, F1® Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “Portimao is highly revered with a proud history, and our players will love the challenge of taking the 2022-designed cars onto the hallowed circuit for the first time.”

  1. Is this not going to be available for Career modes? That is a bit disappointing if thats the case as Portugal is on the Calendar for '21 and China can be selected as well.
Nice to get a free update to tracks we already have but take them away at the same time?
At the start of each season you can tweak the schedule to your liking, so, I would think that you could add these circuits in place of others, but I suppose they might not be available to add in career mode with how this press release was worded.
Yup thats the way it worked last year. Where again I will point out Portugal was already part of the schedule. But they specifically said listed the modes that these tracks could be used in and they don't include the career modes.
But Portugal comes out today so I am sure we will find out which way it is this year?
I don't have '22 yet so someone else will have to check.
    Bullit

Unfortunately you are unable to replace a track to have Portugal in your season. Not able to add a 23rd race either. That is really dumb cause like you said it was on the calendar for 2021. And on the game it was a fun track I really liked a lot. I'd totally replace it with a track like France or something but not possible. Hopefully they allow this or any added tracks is completely useless for someone who doesn't race online.
I tried some online racing and it's not completely terrible. But idiots like to brake check on purpose during a safety car to cause others to wreck their front wing. It was really stupid so I didn't play another.
