Ex-NFL Reporter Michele Tafoya Blasts Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show As A Nightmare, Choosing To Fold Laundry Instead Of Watching It

She didn't seem to like it.

Bad Bunny gave a multilingual performance at the Super Bowl that centered on Puerto Rican and Latino culture. His performance received varied reviews worldwide; some took it positively, praising its cultural authenticity, while others found it unengaging. Though Michele Tafoya, the former NFL reporter, appears to be someone unimpressed by what unfolded on the halftime show.

As reported by the New York Post, she said that she won’t be tuning in to see the artist perform during the halftime show. She planned to get the laundry done by the time it started. The former reporter sarcastically added that this was the first time she had done anything other than watch a big game like this.

In a tweet, Michele Tafoya added, “During halftime tonight, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before: fold laundry.” These words suggest that Michele wasn’t all that enthusiastic about the halftime show. Bad Bunny’s performance has been under controversy well before Super Bowl LX, and Tafoya appears to add to it.

Bad Bunny’s Multilingual Super Bowl Halftime Show Sparks Mixed Reactions

Michele Tafoya might not have resonated with the halftime show’s theme, though some found it engaging. Many notable figures, including Roger Goodell, looked forward to Bad Bunny’s performance, and some appreciated it as a representation of American diversity. Former NFL Player Emmanuel Acho also spoke about the halftime performance, defending the same claim that it effectively represents American values.

His performance may have been less engaging for American viewers who do not speak Spanish. But the backlash he faced appears to stem from his “ICE out.” Grammy speech. Regardless, he incorporated strong Puerto Rican cultural imagery through stage designs, costumes, and visuals such as exploding power poles during “El Apagón” in his Super Bowl halftime show.

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 2026 halftime show was historic as the first solo headliner to perform primarily in Spanish, breaking a nearly 60-year tradition of English-language solo performances. Even though some of the audience, such as Michele, didn’t seem enthusiastic, it remains a noteworthy achievement for the artist to perform on such a huge stage.
