Everybody's Golf Gameplay Video

PlayStation has posted a new Everybody’s Golf gameplay video, with special guest Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios. The game releases on August 29. For more details, check out the official website.

Random note, it was pretty cool how the character stood on top of the rock at 2:50 instead of her legs going through it. That character is pretty dang adorable too lol
I do feel like the UI has way too much going on...there is something on every side of the screen.
I haven't read a ton about it so I'm curious what type of progression system they have to keep the user hooked.
Most importantly, I sincerely hope they don't have server issues. Every game seemingly has server issues at launch.
I'll still have it on Day 1.
I'll still have it on Day 1.
I'm hoping they will add in the other swing mechanics as they game moves forward. So excited to play this! Only 5 days away!
Also, for those who might not be familiar with this series, the cup ain't gonna be that big for every event :D (in fact, only a few usually use the extra rules like Mega Cup). The regular holes in this game are standard size like you'd see on any golf course.
That title isn't just for show - it's made so that literally anyone who wants to play a golf game can pick up and play it, but there's always a lot of challenge in store for us long-timers too.
I'll still have it on Day 1.
Are they not going to offer alternative meters as they did in Hot Shots Golf World Invitational? They had one swing interface option in which the "Power" click took place outside of any sort of graduated meter. You relied on the golfer animation in real time to gauge the power click... and really you could do the same for the accuracy click at the bottom as an alternative to watching a blip on a meter.
I may consider cancelling my preorder if I find out that all swings are going to rely on non-real-time, horizontal swing meters, that's so bass ackwards! :(
I just got confirmation from someone in a broadcast of the game that Advanced Swing is NOT a part of Everybody's Golf!? What a mystifying regression this is!! At least I learned this in time to cancel my pre-order. Non-real-time, horizontal swing meters don't float my boat. I hope they'll consider adding Advanced Swing interface later, but until they do... I'm out.
I've been looking forward to Everybody's Golf and what I understand is that there are lot of "unlockables" in the game as you progress in the game, and Advanced Swing could very well be one of the unlockables just like Expert Difficulty mode was in Top Spin 4 (till you won your first career slam).
I'm hoping that there is some sort of "difficulty settings" so you can bump up the difficulty level for replayability coz I'm more of an offline person and not much into social aspect of the game, especially mini-games like swimming, fishing, golf cart racing etc. Plus I watched a couple of gameplay videos and I didn't see "18 hole" option. The only options I saw were "Start 1 hole round" and "Start 9 hole round " and hope the "Start 18 hole round" is buried down in options or is unlocked after you play a couple of rounds.
I've got two trusted sources saying it's been officially confirmed that Everybody's Golf doesn't, and won't have Advanced Swing as an inherent, nor an earnable option later in player progression. A non-realtime, horizontal 3-click meter quit being my thing with the advent of Links 2004, on the original XBox. I can't believe they aren't offering Advanced Swing, as popular an option as it was in the last two games of the Hot Shots series!?
I'm sure there will be a heavy, grinding element to the player progression, but you'll eventually get what you desire after you've invested a little sweat equity... well, if you don't mind the non-realtime 3-click meter from the Stone age ;)

No "Advanced Swing" is a bummer :( Have pre-ordered EG digitally so I guess will stick around to see how fun the game is coz based on demo and beta reviews the game's fun to play.
Played RM PGA Tour today after a long time on Advanced Swing settings and it was fun. Wish the game had more content and in-depth career mode as the controls scheme is quite fun & intuitive.
I am disappointed they dropped the advanced swing. It was much mote intuitive for me on OOB. But I'll adjust to the meter.
Loved their version of HSG on the Vita, and am very excited for this one. I hope the Pro version will have much better anti-aliasing than this video shows.
