Every WWE 2K Showcase Ranked Worst To Best

18) A Glitch In The System (WWE 2K20)

WWE 2K20 is one of the least-liked installments in the series, and the Showcase modes reflect that. A Glitch in the System follows Asuka, as she allies Naomi and Sonya Deville, to take on Alexa Bliss and her faction in this wacky setting. Some of the sci-fi designs are nice and there’s some enjoyment to be had for WWE sci-fi lovers. However, the showcase fails to capture the feeling fans get from some of the entries higher up on this list.

17) Wasteland Wanderers (WWE 2K20)

Wasteland Wanderers, similar to A Glitch in the System, takes a different approach to the Showcase mode, choosing to go with a movie-like theme. Wasteland Wanderers goes the western route rather than sci-fi. It follows Seth Rollins as the Wanderer. The Wanderer must fight through a roster of underlings before facing off against Samoa Joe as the Overlord. Wasteland Wanderers is a step above A Glitch in the System. Still, the movie-themed showcase fails to capture that showcase feel that captivates fans of the games and the WWE.

16) Saving Southpaw (WWE 2K20)

Saving Southpaw is one of the better things to come out of WWE 2K20 and the 2K originals concept. Although not the most innovative or captivating showcase in terms of story or substance, it was cool to see Southpaw Regional wrestling in one of these games. That said, it’s still near the bottom of the list for a reason.

15) 40 Years Of WrestleMania (WWE 2K24)

When this concept was first introduced in WWE 2K14, it was brilliant, so the sequel 10 years in the making should’ve carried on that success. However, due to how it was handled in WWE 2K24, the 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase fell short of its predecessor and many other showcases. From skipping several WrestleMania events to the heavy use of cutscenes for some matches, this showcase failed to reignite what 30 Years of WrestlemMania first sparked in WWE 2K fans.

14) Class Of 2016 Hall Of Fame (WWE 2K17)

Following the same theme as the previous installment, this WWE 2K17 showcase let players revisit some of the most iconic battles of the WWE legends in the 2016 Hall of Fame class. Much like some of the other showcases, the main problem was that this one had to be purchased as additional content for $9.99, which soured the taste.

13) Class Of 2015 Hall Of Fame (WWE 2K16)

Like the prior pick, the WWE 2K16 Hall of Fame Class showcase differed slightly from the standard format. Rather than following a particular superstar throughout one specific storyline, this showcase featured some of the most memorable matches of the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class. This one wins out by just a bit as Macho Man is the headliner of this class.

12) The Demon Within (WWE 2K20)

Despite the troubles that WWE 2K20 faced, the Bump in the Night Pack was one of the highlights, and with it came the Demon Within showcase. The horror-themed storyline and character alternates were fun and an all-around enjoyable experience.

11) The Women’s Evolution (WWE 2K20)

The Women’s Evolution showcase is another example of a great concept and a good idea spoiled by a poorly received game. Despite the troubles that WWE 2K20 faced, it was great to see the most prominent women in pro wrestling entertainment at the time get their showcase in a WWE game.

10) Rey Mysterio’s Career (WWE 2K22)

WWE 2K22’s showcase was a mixed bag. It followed the career of a much-loved superstar and legend of the sport, Rey Mysterio. Still, some of the match choices were a bit off and nowhere near the most iconic matchups of his career. 2K22 also introduced the “slingshot tech” for the first time, which most players would end up loathing. Still, the decision to take a break after the disastrous reception of 2K20 before coming out with 2K22 yielded success, which is reflected in this showcase.

9) One More Match (WWE 2K15)

One of the shorter DLC showcases, WWE 2K15’s One More Match followed the months-long feud between Christian and Randy Orton over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It was a simple, fun showcase focused on an entertaining storyline that all fans and players enjoyed.

8) Beat Up Cena (WWE 2K23)

WWE 2K23 introduced a very different concept to Showcase mode. Instead of following the triumph of a particular superstar, we followed the torment of John Cena. Players got to play as superstars like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns during the matches where they put a beating on John Cena. It was a hilarious and fun concept, which was only mildly spoiled by the slingshot tech.

7) Hall Of Pain (WWE 2K15)

In WWE 2K15, we got a much-deserved showcase following one of the better heel turns in the 2010s era of WWE. This showcase followed Mark Henry’s Hall of Pain gimmick as he tore through some of the biggest names on the roster at the time on his way to his first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This storyline took place over just nine matches. Ultimately, it was a fun showcase for a wrestler who went through many years of wandering before finally landing on a great gimmick and storyline.

6) Path Of The Warrior (WWE 2K15)

Although it was a short one, WWE 2K15’s Path of the Warrior showcase allowed players to experience an era in WWE history that was brief but important. Following the career of the Ultimate Warrior and featuring legends like Randy Savage and the old-school Undertaker, this storyline and era represent everything we love about the WWE 2K showcases. It’s a shame it was so short.

5) The Return Of Daniel Bryan (WWE 2K19)

WWE 2K19’s Daniel Bryan showcase was an all-around hit. It featured Daniel Bryan’s career, giving fans access to fun things like WWE Velocity, the original NXT, and Daniel Bryan’s “Bryan Danielson” days. Fans also got to play through Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania moment and the “Yes Movement,” which still gives many fans goosebumps.

4) 30 Years Of Wrestlemania (WWE 2K14)

In WWE 2K14, the first-ever showcase was introduced: 30 Years of Wrestlemania. It featured some of the best matches from every WrestleMania at the time. Playing through this game mode allowed players to unlock Superstars like Goldberg and Andre the Giant, giving players more incentive to complete the showcase. It was the perfect sort of introduction that helped make Showcase mode an important part of most every WWE 2K game that followed.

3) Best Friends, Bitter Enemies (WWE 2K15)

WWE 2K15 featured one of the most important storylines from a somewhat maligned era of WWE due to Triple H’s “Reign of Terror” that made up a good chunk of it. During the Ruthless Aggression era, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, two superstars who were practically brothers, started a brutal blood feud that featured some of the most gruesome matches. It was such an epic storyline and a crazy time in the WWE that you could almost feel the drama renewed as you played through the showcase. What’s more impressive is that this wasn’t the only epic showcase this game featured.

2) Austin 3:16 (WWE 2K16)

In WWE 2K16, the Steve Austin 3:16 Showcase shook up the WWE gaming community. Not only did it feature the career of one of WWE’s most beloved athletes, but the addition of matches from his WCW and ECW days also gave us arenas and wrestlers that would otherwise never be featured in a WWE 2K game. It truly is one of the best showcases we’ve gotten so far.

1) Hustle, Loyalty, Disrespect (WWE 2K15)

On top of the awesome Best Friends, Bitter Enemies showcase, WWE 2K15 also featured the epic feud between two of the best on-mic and in-ring performers in the WWE at the time, CM Punk and John Cena. This showcase was even better than the Best Friends, Bitter Enemies one as it followed CM Punk’s iconic run as the WWE champion. WWE 2K15 was also CM Punk’s last appearance in a WWE game until 2K24.
