Every Rare Forza Horizon 5 Car Is Now Available in the Backstage Shop

Cars you missed out on are now available.

Playground Games is pulling out all its cards as Forza Horizon 6 inches closer to its release date. This time around, they are paying attention to their previous game, Forza Horizon 5.

In a move that’s turning heads across the community, Forza Horizon 5 players suddenly have access to something that once felt nearly impossible: a massive collection of the game’s rarest cars, all available in one place.

According to a post from AR12Gaming on X — who has been on the money with pretty much all of these updates — every rare or hard-to-get car has been added to the Backstage Shop in the game. For longtime players, this represents a dramatic shift in how the game handles exclusivity. Cars that were once tied to specific seasonal events, and often missed due to timing, are no longer locked away.

Rare Cars Up For Grabs In Forza Horizon 5

Traditionally, the Backstage Shop has worked as a curated system. Players earn Backstage Passes through gameplay and spend them on a rotating selection of rare cars, with the lineup typically determined by community votes. That system created a kind of artificial scarcity, meaning that if you missed a car’s original event or it lost a vote, you might be waiting months (or longer) for another shot.

Playground Games has more or less opened the floodgates, placing a huge pool of rare cars directly into the shop. Whether it’s a move to promote the upcoming game or just to reward longtime players, fans are genuinely excited. All the cars that were considered “FOMO cars” (cars tied to specific events or challenges) are now up for grabs.

For newer players or those returning after a break, this is a massive win. It removes one of the biggest barriers to building a dream garage and makes the game feel far more accessible. Rather than relying on perfect timing, players can now focus on earning passes and choosing the cars they actually want.

At the same time, this change could signal something bigger.

With Forza Horizon 6 on the horizon, Playground Games may be easing restrictions in Forza Horizon 5 to give players a more complete experience before the next installment arrives.

The game has already seen continuous updates and content expansions since its 2021 launch. Opening up the Backstage Shop like this could be a way to celebrate the game while preparing the community for what’s next.
