Eli Manning Was Snubbed by Hall of Fame Voters Again. Giants Fans Are Furious

For the second straight year, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will not be heading into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this offseason. Manning fell short in the 2026 Hall of Fame vote even though he was one of the 15 modern-era finalists.

That means no gold jacket for the two-time Super Bowl MVP this year. The decision has left many Giants fans feeling frustrated, confused, and angry. Manning’s career includes two of the most memorable Super Bowl wins in NFL history, but he has now been passed over again.

When Manning first became eligible, expectations were high. He checks many of the boxes fans and analysts look for in Hall of Fame candidates. Those include two Super Bowl titles, two Super Bowl MVPs, and a long career spent entirely with one franchise.

The Hall of Fame selection committee only inducts a small number of modern-era candidates each year, usually no more than five. A player must receive at least 80 percent of the committee’s vote to be selected. This year, Manning did not reach that mark.

Manning finished his career with more than 57,000 passing yards and 366 touchdowns. He also never earned an All-Pro selection and made only four Pro Bowls. He ended his regular-season career with a 117–117 record, exactly a .500 mark. Those regular-season accomplishments appear to have influenced voters.

For Giants fans, statistics do not tell the full story, especially when postseason success is considered. This second straight snub has pushed many from patience to frustration.

Giants Fans Aren’t Debating His Resume Anymore. They’re Questioning the Process

Across social media and fan forums, the reaction has been loud and emotional. One fan did not mince words at all, writing, “What a f**king joke.” That blunt reaction captured the anger many Giants fans felt when Manning’s name was left off the list again.

Others immediately turned to comparisons and questioned consistency. One fan argued, “If Aikman was first ballot, then Eli should’ve been second and it’s that simple. The GOAT lost two Super Bowls to him. Is there a standard or do these bums make it up as they go? Fire all of them.” For many, the fact that Manning beat Tom Brady twice on the biggest stage makes his continued wait hard to understand.

Support has also come from unexpected places. One Patriots fan openly admitted, “I hate Eli Manning (Patriots fan) But he deserves to be in the HOF. He has enough of the counting stats, plus the postseason success. He was robbed.” That reaction highlights how Manning’s playoff résumé continues to carry weight, even among rival fanbases.

Some fans believe the issue goes beyond Manning alone. One comment claimed, “HOF lost credibility when Bill Belichick didn’t make it automatically,” suggesting the selection process itself has become questionable. Belichick was not elected on his first ballot, though that claim reflects fan opinion rather than Hall of Fame criteria.

For now, Manning will remain eligible next year, and the debate will continue. Until his name is finally called, the frustration will only grow. Giants fans have made one thing clear. They are no longer just questioning Eli Manning’s resume. They are questioning the people doing the voting.
