Just in time for the United States, Canada, and Mexico World Cup, Konami revealed that Nintendo Switch 2 players can now pre-order eFootball Kick-Off! ahead of its release on June 3rd, 2026. Its price? $19.99/£15.99.
The above was to be expected given Kick-Off‘s spin-off nature and its seemingly lack of monetization practices, aka the only reason why the main game is still ”F2P”. As revealed early in the month, those who purchase the game before release will also receive an exclusive Legendary Lionel Messi for its World Tour Mode. You can check out the game’s reveal trailer below, as well as an overview of each of its main modes by heading further down:
Keep in mind that eFootball Kick-Off will be a digital-exclusive release. It is also unknown if its arrival will have any impact on the main franchise, be it through in-game events or otherwise.
All eFootball Kick-Off Modes, Explained
As you can see in the trailer above, eFootball Kick-Off is set to offer a total of two competitive modes in World Tour and International Cup, with the former being its own take on the Dream Team format. Here, your focus lies on taking on tournaments to earn the grindable currency needed to boost your squads and create a legacy.
Set to arrive as a free post-release update, International Cup is then set to bring the World Cup to the game and allow players to compete in their own versions of it. Although its nomenclature implies otherwise, it’s still unknown if the mode’s presence means that Konami won the race and acquired the rights for the competition.

Those looking for a less demanding experience will also be able to take on 6v6 or regular friendlies via Quick Match. The game is also set to allow Switch 2 players to play with friends on other Nintendo platforms (Switch and Switch Lite) through its GameShare feature.
