eFootball 2022 Dream Team Guide - Completing Objectives (Part Three)

In part one, I covered the basics of Dream Team and how to build a team. In part two, we covered the different ways to play and actually compete within eFootball 2022‘s Dream Team mode. In this article, part three, we’ll get into the dynamics of completing objectives in eFootball and all that comes with it.

What Are Objectives

Objectives are challenges in eFootball 2022 that give out rewards for playing certain events and/or accomplish some predefined set of accomplishments. As previously stated, these objectives are the primary way in which you can upgrade your team with the other way being spending via microtransactions. Within these objectives are four different variations: Career Objectives, Regular Objectives, Weekly Objectives, and Premium Objectives. Let’s start with Regular Objectives.

Regular Objectives

Regular Objectives are your most basic form of objectives, which usually consist of completing in-game challenges. These Regular Objectives are usually tied to a Season, meaning that they reset when a new Season starts. Here’s a brief breakdown of some example Regular Objectives:

OBJECTIVES CLAIMABLE REWARDS
Play 5 Tour Event Games (You can play any of the Tour Events live right now) 1. 4x Exp. 10,000 Training Program.
2. 1× 2-Star Nominating Contract.
Score 10 Goals in Tour Events(Dream Team). Alternately 20,000 and 10,000 GP for each goal scored. Cumulative Sum of 160,000 GP
Play 5 Challenge Event Games 1. 5x Exp. 10,000 Training Program.
2. 1× 4-Star Nominating Contract
Score 5 Goals in Challenge Events Alternately 20,000 and 10,000 GP for each Goal scored. Cumulative Sum of 70,000 GP.
Play 5 e-Football League Matches 1. 5x Exp. 10,000 Training Program.
2. 1× 3-Star Nominating Contract.
Score 5 Goals in the e-Football League Game. Alternately 20,000 and 10,000 GP for each Goal scored. Cumulative Sum of 70,000 GP.

Career Objectives

Career Objectives differ a little from Regular Objectives in the sense that they don’t expire, rather they last for the entirety of a Season. For the most part, these objectives usually require a longer period of time to complete. However, there are a few like “play with out-wide playstyle” that you can complete after just one match. This is where the majority of the objectives can be found, and for brevity’s sake, I’ll list them out by event type:

Weekly Objectives

Unlike Regular and Career Objectives, Weekly Objectives refresh every Thursday after Konami’s online maintenance. These Weekly Objectives are virtually unchanged from week-to-week making them rather easy and mundane to complete:

OBJECTIVES CLAIMABLE REWARDS
Play 2 Tour Event Games Exp. 1,000 Training Program
Win 1 Tour Event Game 1,500 GP
Score 4 Goals in Tour Events 1,500 GP
Play 2 Challenge Event Games Exp. 1,000 Training Program
Win 1 Challenge Event Game 1,500 GP
Score 4 Goals in Challenge Events 1,500 GP
Conduct Player Progression once 100 eFootball Points
Conduct Level Training on a Player 100 eFootball Points

Premium Objectives

Now here’s where it starts to get sticky. Premium Objectives aren’t really like the previous objective’s I’ve talked about. These Premium Objectives are available for purchase on a limited time-based period. The only way to purchase these Premium Objectives is with eFootball coins, which cost real money. Within these Premium Objectives are a few options when it comes to purchases. There are players, such as Messi and Neymar (currently available), which not only net you Messi or Neymar (Premium Ambassador packs) but also a host of other players such as some of Messi’s Argentinian national teammates or Brazil’s in the case of Neymar. Additionally, there are also several partner clubs such as FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich, which lets you net a host of players from those respective clubs with one player carrying the legendary card status.

From time-to-time, there are also actual objectives that come with Premium Objectives. These usually reset or expire once a new set of legendary players are introduced, most likely as cash grab by Konami as it incentivizes you to not only spend money to purchase eFootball coins but also complete the objectives in a short time or run the risk of not leveling up your players as to lure you further down the rabbit hole that are microtransactions. Here’s a brief example of what these objectives were for the last go-around:

OBJECTIVES CLAIMABLE REWARDS
Play 35 Tour Event Matches(You can play any of the Tour Events live right now) 1. 2× 2-Star Nominating Contract
2. 16x Exp. 1,000 Training Program
Score 50 Tour Event Goals 1. 2× 5-Star Nominating Contract
2. 40,000 GP
Play 35 Challenge Event Games 1. 2× 4-Star Nominating Contract
2. 2x Exp. 1,000 Training Program
3. 7x Exp. 4,000 Training Program
Score 50 Challenge Event Goals 50,000 GP
Play 35 eFootball League Matches 1. 2× 3-Star Nominating Contract
2. 2x Exp. 1,000 Training Program
3. 7x Exp. 4,000 Training Program.
Score 50 Goals in eFootball League Matches. 50,000 GP
Complete 30 Objectives from this Box 300 eFootball Coins

Overall, Premium Objectives to me aren’t worth it, but if you purchase, say the FC Barcelona pack, it’s a good way to quickly get the best players if you’re running with an only-Barcelona squad.

Bottom Line

Despite what some may think, there are a lot of different modes where you can target objectives if that’s your thing. Personally, I’m not someone who targets objectives just as I’m not a trophy hunter on PSN. I’m more of an “if they come they come” type of player, but eFootball 2022 does force you to pay attention to these objectives as you start to improve upon your squad. In addition to paying attention, because of all the gaffes Konami has made and continues to make in terms of bugs, they hand out GP and coins like Halloween candy, so between the two completing objectives and stacking GP isn’t too hard or off-putting. Experienced players who have been there since Day 1 will think that they are repetitive, but for those starting out, I highly encourage you to give it a try because you’ll be rewarded for your patience.

In part four we’ll talk about one of the most important aspects of the game, Player Training/Squad Development. We will then finish with part five that will be all about tips for building a good squad.
