Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has recently faced severe backlash from angry fans due to the team’s poor offensive play. This frustration escalated into a criminal act when a video went viral on social media, allegedly showing fans vandalizing Patullo’s home.
The viral video clip showed a group of individuals who were believed to be Eagles fans targeting the coach’s property. Initial reports and comments on the video suggested that the fans were throwing rocks at the house while shouting demands for Patullo to lose his coaching position with the team.
This alleged vandalism represents a disturbing escalation of fan frustration, crossing the line from simple criticism to a physical attack on a team employee’s private home. The incident became a major talking point, highlighting the intense and sometimes harmful passion of the Philadelphia sports fanbase.
The Police Confirmed Patullo’s Home Was Vandalized
Following the viral spread of the video and the initial reports of rock-throwing, the Moorestown Police Department stepped in to investigate the incident. The police confirmed that the property of the Eagles’ offensive coordinator was, in fact, vandalized during the early morning hours on a Saturday.
However, the police also clarified a key detail regarding the type of vandalism that took place. They stated that the fans involved did not throw rocks as initially alleged in the viral video’s caption. Instead, the vandals were hurling eggs at Patullo’s home.
The Moorestown Police also confirmed that they have opened an investigation into the matter. The primary goal of this investigation is to identify and track down the individuals who were responsible for vandalizing Patullo’s property. The incident, regardless of the projectile used, remains a serious crime.
The Eagles’ Offense Is Struggling
The extreme actions taken against Kevin Patullo are largely due to the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense’s recent struggles and underwhelming performance. Patullo was promoted to the offensive coordinator role before the start of the current season, but the team’s offensive output has failed to meet expectations.
Statistically, the Eagles’ offense has performed poorly this season. They are currently ranked low, specifically at No. 22, in terms of both their passing offense and their rushing offense. This lack of offensive production is what has caused frustration to boil over among the team’s passionate fans.
Fan anger peaked after the Eagles suffered a disappointing 24-15 home loss to the Chicago Bears. Despite the struggles, head coach Nick Sirianni later stated that he would retain Patullo as the offensive coordinator, though he acknowledged that the team must improve its offensive execution and play-calling.
