More than 1,000 new animations and over 100 athlete-specific idles were captured directly from UFC fighters, helping each athlete move and react closer to their real-life style. Fighters like Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva now feel noticeably different in both pacing and pressure, while upgraded body scanning tech improves things like reach advantages, muscle definition, hair movement, skin detail and visible damage during fights.

The team highlighted new offensive and defensive mechanics that give players more freedom in how they approach fights. Different strike variations now create unique advantages depending on the fighter, while four new blocking styles add another layer to defense. Players can choose between balanced, sturdy, evasive or Philly Shell styles depending on how they want to handle exchanges and protect themselves. New head movement, lunges and real-time contact systems also make strikes look cleaner and feel more impactful.

The deep dive also introduced UFC 6’s new flow state system, which rewards fighters for leaning into their real-world strengths and tendencies. Each fighter comes with perks, passive boosts and temporary momentum-based bonuses that can completely change the feel of a fight. Outside of gameplay, arenas and presentation also received upgrades with improved lighting, crowd audio, venue atmosphere and broadcast-style visuals that help places like Madison Square Garden, MGM Grand and T-Mobile Arena stand out a little more during events.

EA Sports UFC 6 launches on June 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Fans who pre-order the Ultimate Edition can jump in early starting June 12.
