The latest installment is set to launch worldwide on July 9 and EA says more details will be shared during Thursday’s full presentation. According to EA Sports Vice President of Franchise Strategy and Marketing Evan Dexter, College Football 27 aims to better reflect the current state of the sport and the players who have helped shape it.

The three Standard Edition cover athletes earned their spots after standout seasons in 2025. Moore threw for more than 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading Oregon on a deep playoff run. Toney became one of the nation’s breakout stars, setting Miami’s single-season receptions record with 109 catches and over 1,200 receiving yards while helping the Hurricanes reach the National Championship Game. Lacy made an immediate impact at Ole Miss, rushing for more than 1,500 yards and scoring 24 touchdowns during his first season with the Rebels.

The Deluxe Edition highlights several of the biggest names entering the upcoming season. Simmons helped anchor one of college football’s top defenses with 12 sacks and three forced fumbles, while Leonard Moore emerged as an All-American cornerback for Notre Dame. Maiava threw 30 touchdown passes for USC last season and Cignetti earned a place on the cover after leading Indiana to its first national championship. The artwork also features several school mascots and familiar gameday traditions that have become a major part of the college football experience.

EA Sports will reveal more information on College Football 27 this Thursday through the EA Madden NFL YouTube channel.
