EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team details arrived today with a new deep dive trailer and Pitch Notes article going over what’s new in the mode.
First up is Ultimate Team Evolutions, a new system that transforms your squad strategy by improving and customizing players from your Club. Take those lower-rated players and level them up and adjust your top players by adding skill moves, weak foot upgrades and more. Evolving a player once is just the beginning – you can guide the same player through multiple Evolutions in a year, resulting in exclusive versions no one else possesses. Dedicating your player to an Evolution slot and completing gameplay challenges allows you to upgrade and evolve them.
FC 24 Ultimate Team merges men’s and women’s football onto a shared field. Given the greater number of available players, you’ll have the chance to exercise creativity by forming hybrid squads across multiple Leagues. The Chemistry system will maintain its current structure, with an added chance to connect players across men’s and women’s football. Players will still connect based on the same Leagues and Nations (e.g., WSL players linking to other WSL players, English players linking with other English players, etc.). You can also establish links between women’s and men’s players within the same club affiliation (e.g., all Chelsea players from both the Barclays Women’s Super League and the Premier League will link together).
PlayStyles add a fresh layer to Ultimate Team moving beyond ratings to help you construct your squad around players’ actual on-field performance. These styles impact gameplay, providing distinct and tangible abilities that mirror each player’s authentic playstyle. PlayStyles+ elevate these unique traits to a world-class level, capturing elite skills like Sam Kerr’s Power Header or Haaland’s Acrobatics, showcasing abilities only few can match.
To enhance organization, Objective Groups will now be sorted into multiple tabs, streamlining the process of finding, playing and monitoring your progress. Some groups will sport themed backgrounds for added visual appeal. The team also added a Claim All, so players can instantly redeem rewards from completed Objectives in a group, sending them to your Club.
The Standard Edition of EA Sports FC 24 releases on September 29 with Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland on the cover. Players that pre-order the Ultimate Edition can play the game 7 days earlier on September 22. Fans that pre-order the Ultimate Edition by August 22 will receive a number of player benefits, including an untradeable UEFA Champions League Ultimate Team Hero item in November.
Fans who play EA SPORTS FC 24 by 1 November 2023 will become an FC Founder and unlock benefits including an exclusive Founder badge and kit to represent their status for years to come.
