The team also released their F1 24 driver ratings today. As with previous seasons, F1 24 driver ratings are based on the following criteria alongside an overall score:

  • Experience (EXP): The number of race starts a driver has over the course of their career
  • Racecraft (RAC): The ability to work through the pack and finish in a higher position
  • Awareness (AWA): The cleaner the race, the higher the rating
  • Pace (PAC): A mix of qualifying and lap times and beating a teammate in both categories
  • Rating (RTG): The combination of the previous four ratings that can change throughout the season

Driver Ratings are a crucial component of the new progression system in the revamped Career Mode. For the first time, players can choose to play as one of the current F1 drivers, building on their existing stats and reputation. These ratings are also essential to the My Team game feature, where players have the opportunity to run an F1 team. This includes signing a teammate from the current F1 line-up, managing the team, and developing the car.
