According to IGN, the EA Play Live 2022 event has been canceled. The event typically shows off some of the new features for the next iteration of Madden and FIFA. Unfortunately that isn’t happening this year.

An EA rep had this to say:

We love EA Play Live as it’s our way of connecting with our players and sharing what’s new with all of you. However, this year things aren’t lining up to show you everything on one date. We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!

Last year the EA Play Live event was roughly a month after E3 on July 22. The teams hosted spotlight series for both Madden NFL 22 and FIFA 22. Similar to last year, we should expect some news on Madden NFL 23 in June with FIFA 23 news coming in July, so don’t get too grumpy about it.
