EA FC 26 Two Way Player I And II Evolutions, Explained

Starting with Two Way Player I, the free evolution can be used on any 87-OVR or under LM/RM, as long as they have a maximum of four positions, cannot be used as CBs or CMs, and are not Silver Icons. It offers massive upgrades, including a +25 OVR (max 88), +5 PAS (max 85), a +3-star SM boost, and the Rapid+, Incisive Pass+, Quick Step, and Intercept PlayStyles.

Two Way Player II then features similar requirements, by being only usable on 88-rated or under LM/RMs, with a maximum of 10 PlayStyles and two PlayStyles+. Unlike the above, the upgrades here are way more focused, with your player only getting the following:

  • +2 OVR, +3-star WF (max 4), +4 SHO (max 89), +5 PAS (max 92), and +5 DRI (max 92)
  • Winger++, Wide Midfielder++, Wide Playmaker++, and Insider Forward++ for both the LM and RM positions
  • Finesse Shot and Jockey PlayStyles

Although its upgrades make it a good pick for pretty much all wide players, no matter if they are defenders or wingers, POTM Claudia Pina is the best pick for the Two Way Player I evolution in EA FC 26, even more so considering the game’s current high-press meta. She is then followed by the Ultimate Scream versions of Antoine Griezmann and Rafael Leão, who will also get access to the Finesse and Rapid+ combo. To recap, here are the best players for Two Way Player I, as well as a few other sure-to-excel alternatives:

  • Ultimate Scream Antoine Griezmann (87 OVR / CAM)
  • POTM Claudia Pina (87 OVR / ST)
  • Time Warp Pedro (87 OVR / RW)
  • Winter Wildcards Rafael Leão (87 OVR / LW)
  • Rating Reload Arga Guller (86 OVR / CAM)
  • Time Warp Ashley Young (86 OVR / LM)
  • Ultimate Scream Thomas Müller (86 OVR / ST)
  • Gold Rare Claudia Pina (86 OVR / LW)
  • Gold Rare Rafael Leão (85 OVR / LW)

The Best Players For the Two Way Player II Evolution

Given its low number of upgrades and high overall increase, we only recommend using the evolution as part of a chain with Two Way Player I. Doing this is also a must if you evolved Ultimate Scream Antoine Griezmann, who can use it to address his biggest weaknesses, aka his 3-star WF and underwhelming shooting.

If you wish to chain your Two Way Player I pick with another meta evo, such as the recently released Empress of the Box, we then recommend only using Two Way Player II on 86-rated or below players, capable of getting its Roles++ boost without being locked from future evolutions. My pick for it? 100% Gold Rare Son Heung-min.
