EA FC 26: Best Solution for Base Hero Upgrade SBC

Cheapest 86-Rated Cards!

EA FC 26 just came out with a new Base Hero Upgrade SBC, and people are… contemplating. This is the Max. 86 Base Hero Upgrade SBC, meaning the maximum OVR you can get is 86. That’s not too bad considering these cards slot in very well for chemistry links. However, the gamble of trading in a fully stacked team for a single card is risky.

There is one way to mitigate that risk, though. And that’s by simply playing smart. The less you invest in your trade, the less you’re risking. That’s where we come in. Today’s article is all about the best (and cheapest) way to complete the Max. 86 Base Hero Upgrade SBC. We’ll give you the tips and tricks you’ll need to conquer the market, and a few examples to get you started.

What Is The Base Hero Upgrade SBC?

The Base Hero Upgrade SBC is a casino-style challenge where you trade in a team of 11 players and get a base hero card in return. The gambling aspect is always present since there’s a chance that the base hero you receive is of lower value compared to your investment into the squad. Knowing if you want to go for a Base Hero, Cornerstone, or Icon early on is important.

However, there are some amazing cards in the SBC roster that can take your team up a notch. Even if you don’t pull a good hero card, you can always utilize them in your next SBC as fodder. If you plan your SBC carefully and don’t overspend on cards, these challenges can be highly rewarding and an efficient way to eliminate duplicates or untradable cards.

The one thing you need to keep in mind is that the Hero card will be of base rarity, and for this particular SBC, 86 is the max OVR you can receive.

Tips To Manage Squads For SBC

If you’re just getting into SBCs, it can be hard to understand where people are getting all this fodder from. Truth is, if you’ve been playing for a while, you will also have quite a lot of fodder piled up. That’s where a lot of players complete their squads from. Here are some tips to stop you from breaking the bank for SBCs:

  • Use your untradable fodder first. Tradable fodder can still get you some coins; untradable fodder is virtually useless.
  • Target duplicates. You’re not using more than one copy, so why waste storage?
  • Balance squad rating. An overall squad rating of 86 doesn’t mean 11 86-OVR players. Mix up OVRs, include some 88s and 87s to balance the 83s and 84s. This reduces overall cost.
  • Compare prices. Some cards are cheaper than others, even with the same OVR. Since you don’t need specific names, look for the cheapest OVR cards to complete your set.
  • Watch requirements. Don’t fill up your squad without checking the SBC requirements. If it asks for one player from ToTW, get him first and fill up your squad after that.
