EA FC 25 Screen Bouncing: How to Fix, Confirmed

A player-approved solution to the flickering problem.

Screen bouncing or flickering when booting EA FC 25 is among the more commonly reported bugs in the game. Fortunately, it is nothing to stress over as it has one very reliable fix that many players have found to work.

And even if that known solution does not solve the screen bouncing, we have also listed some other general things below that you can try instead in EA FC 25.

How To Fix Screen Flickering In EA Sports FC 25

For any visual issues like bouncing, flickering, or glitching, deleting Personal Setting 1 when first booting up EA FC 25 should solve it.

Deleting it will only wipe your Skill Game progress and your custom controller layout. Your progression in Ultimate Team, Career, and other modes will be unaffected so long as you don’t touch other settings. Here’s how to delete Personal Settings 1 in EA FC 25:

  1. Open Settings from the main menu (cog icon on the top-left of your screen).
  2. Click on the Profile tile.
  3. Select the Delete option.
  4. Now, it’ll bring forth a list of files like UT Team Squad, Online Pro, etc., etc.
  5. From the list, select Personal Setting 1 and then confirm delete.

Do not touch any other settings here as deleting them can impact your actual progress in several different modes. This is widely reported by players to be successful across forums, as well as by EA itself.

You can also use this method if the game says any particular file is corrupt. Locate the very file in the Delete menu above, delete it, and that should solve the issue. EA has also said that deleting personal settings will solve other bugs like loss in audio and other general audio issues.

While this method has solved visual bugs for many, it may not solve them for you. It depends on why and where you encountered the issue, and whether it happens only when you play EA FC 25. Below is a list of other routine things you can try if the issue with your in-game display persists.

Update Graphics Drivers

Typically, graphics drivers update on their own, but sometimes you’ll have to manually download them. Outdated drivers are also the usual suspects for any performance issues.

For NVIDIA GPUs, you can either update through GeForce Experience or manually search for the latest drivers on GeForce’s official page. AMD has an auto-detect tool that will do it for you, or you can just summon AMD Radeon Settings with a right click on your desktop and head to Update. Intel also has its own auto-detect tool and it is a bright idea to have it installed.

Verify Files

Any corrupt or missing files can cause a litany of technical issues. Checking for said files is simple. Just head to the library in the EA App, and there should be three dots beside the game. Click on those three dots, and you’ll see an option to verify files.

Some Other Things To Try

  • Update Windows.
  • Check system requirements and see if your PC is up to spec.
  • Tweak the in-game graphics settings and dip them down for more stable performance.
  • Disable any existing overlay or remove unnecessary background activities.
  • Reinstall the game.

We know these solutions are as obvious as the IT guy telling you all the time, “Sir, have you tried turning your device off and on again?” But in general, these are your routine checks for any performance-related issues, not just screen flickering.

Odds are, at least one of these methods will help to solve you screen issue. But in the unlikely case that none of them solve the issue, your best bet is to contact EA technical support and have them walk you through it.
