For all of EA FC‘s faults, nobody can deny that the long-running football sim has exposed tons of young fans to the heroes of yesterday. Think about it — how many Gen Z’ers (or even Millennials) would know about the likes of Eusébio or Zico had it not been for the FIFA/EA FC franchise spotlighting them? Sure, EA FC 25 isn’t a return to glory for the series or anything like that, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t fun to be able to play as some of the greatest players to ever step foot on a pitch.
These legends of the game have long been presented as Icon cards in the EA FC series. And now, the title has released a new promo, all centered on these Icons.

EA FC 25 has released a total of 20 cards as part of Immortals Team 1, based on 15 different players. Some players have two cards, reflecting their abilities at various stages of their career. The cards up for grabs as part of EA FC 25 Immortals Team 1 are as follows:

- Franz Beckenbauer
- Thierry Henry
- Nadine Angerer (two variations)
- Gareth Bale (two variations)
- Laurent Blanc (two variations)
- David Ginola
- Gianfranco Zola (two variations)
- Gianluca Zambrotta (two variations)
- Javier Zanetti
- Steven Gerrard
- Sonia Bompastor
- Aleksandr Mostovoi
- Sami Al-Jaber
- Pavel Nedved
Cards that are part of the Immortals promo will be available in packs, through SBCs, and Objectives.
Also included as part of the Immortals promo is the Beyond Immortal Evolution. According to EA, “Become Immortal will allow you to choose your favorite eligible CM rated 85 or lower.” Any player you choose to use the Become Immortal Evolution on will jump up to a 92 OVR card, so it might be worth doing.
