Dominik Mysterio is coming off the biggest win of his entire career at Survivor Series: WarGames. He defeated John Cena to take the Intercontinental Championship from him and is now feeling more confident than ever.
Dirty Dom had a lot of help to come off as the victor in a monumental showdown against the Cenation Leader in his hometown of San Diego, California. We saw a number of his affiliates from the Judgment Day group get involved, such as Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez.
However, Cena was able to somehow handle all of them and almost seemed to have the drop on his opponent. That all changed once a surprise return, Liv Morgan, entered the ring. With her help, Mysterio was able to seal the victory. He spoke about his victory on the Survivor Series post-show and declared himself the ‘Greatest of all time.’
“John Cena has beaten absolutely everybody, am I correct? You name them, Cena’s beaten them. Now, I’ve beaten John Cena. By logic, I’ve also beaten everybody. Greatest of all time? You’re looking at him,” Mysterio said.
Dominik Mysterio Has Become A Fan Favorite
Dominik Mysterio might be one of the biggest heels on the WWE roster; however, it seems now he’s also one of the most beloved. He’s had one of the biggest evolutions out of any other star in the company.
At one point in time, Mysterio was seen as a nepotism hire, and much of the audience saw him as a bland character. However, it all changed once he turned heel and betrayed his father to kick off the beginning of a top-tier character in the business.
He saw his shot and took it as he joined sides with Rhea Ripley and the rest of Judgment Day. We’ve seen him morph into the modern-day version of Eddie Guerrero to an extent. Mysterio loves to lie, cheat, and steal from anyone.
Mysterio Defeated Cena With The Help Of Liv Morgan
Dominik Mysterio had one of the biggest nights of his WWE career. At first, it seemed like Liv Morgan returned to exact some retribution against Mysterio. She even slapped him down in anger for cheating on her.
However, it was all a ruse to trap Cena as Morgan soon delivered a low blow. This was the final play that saw Mysterio take the upper hand and end it with a 619-frog splash finish. The fans might not have loved seeing the GOAT lose on his final PPV match, but they certainly were cheering for Mysterio at the end.
