Deleted Xbox Listing Appears to Reveal College Football 27 Release Date and Features

An apparent leak sheds light on what's to come in CFB 27.

Summer is nearly here, and football gamers know that means that access to their favorite annual sports game is just around the corner. Now, thanks to an apparent error, we may know when to expect EA Sports’ two big American football games to arrive. That’s not all we know, however; according to screenshots captured by X user MUTLeaks XXVII, information has also dropped about new features to expect.

The information comes from a now-deleted listing on the Xbox Game Store that included details and release information for both College Football 27 and Madden 27. Although taken down, likely as the information was intended to debut at the upcoming EA Sports Opening Drive presentation on Thursday, the listing announced seven days of early access for EA Sports MVP+ Membership beginning on July 2, which would put general access to the game on July 9. The post also noted a Beta Access period of four days starting on June 4th, likely at the conclusion of Opening Drive, and running through June 7th.

Additional information announced for the game via the deleted listing include:

  • Dynasty Mode: The listing includes two notes on Dynasty mode, with the announcement of an exclusive upgrade Dynasty Skill Tree, known as Rainmaker, for MVP+ members, and notes under new features a new Dynasty Blueprint feature.
  • Road to Glory: New customization options and positions available for the single athlete mode.
  • Mascot Mashup: The mascot mode will be back, with the listing noting more than 120 mascot options to unlock and play with in the latest edition of the game.

Although still light on detail, as is to be expected given that it was an accidental posting on a store page rather than an official press release, the big reveal of an expected launch date will be welcome news to fans of the series. If you’re eagerly anticipating getting your hands on College Football 27 and want to know more about what to expect from the game, make sure to tune in to EA Sports Opening Drive to watch the official launch, which will no doubt have a more in-depth look at both football games.
