Cristiano Ronaldo's sister unleashes on his critics after his Trump visit, and she's not holding anything back

His sister just went OFF on the haters.

Cristiano Ronaldo found himself at the center of a social media storm this week after he paid a visit to President Donald Trump at the White House. The soccer star brought his fiancee Georgina Rodriguez along for a fancy black tie dinner in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night, where they rubbed shoulders with some of the world’s most powerful people.

The pair also got some one on one time with Trump outside of the dinner, as per Daily Mail. They took a walk together and even got a tour of the Oval Office. But the visit did not sit well with a lot of people online. Fans and critics alike took to social media to blast Ronaldo for getting so friendly with the President, and the backlash spread quickly.

That is when Ronaldo’s older sister Katia Aveiro stepped in. She posted a fiery video on Instagram where she unleashed on his critics after his Trump visit, and she’s not holding anything back. She was clearly fed up with all the hate her brother was getting and did not mince her words.

She really did not hold back at all

Aveiro painted a picture of her brother as a self made man who got to where he is through sheer effort. She said he “never needed favors, parties, ideologies or scripted speeches” and that hard work was all he ever relied on. She also took a shot at his critics, saying that hard work is “something that many of his critics only know by hearing about.”

Then she really let loose. She could not believe how people were reacting to a simple visit. “He visits the White House, and suddenly it’s a nuclear emotional explosion! Hypocrites, you’re all hypocrites!” she said. She thought the whole thing was being blown way out of proportion, as if her brother “had just announced the end of the world.” The high profile White House visit had been announced just days before it happened.

Aveiro reminded everyone of where Ronaldo came from and what he has done. She said he has “carried Portugal on his shoulders” for two decades and “came from poverty” to build “an empire without any shortcuts.” She wondered if people really think he cares about what a bunch of angry folks online have to say.

She wrapped up her message with words of thanks for her brother. She said he “has done more for the country than any roundtable discussion” and that he “put Portugal in the conversation with the greatest.” Trump had some nice things to say about Ronaldo at the dinner too. He brought up how his son Barron is a huge fan of the soccer legend.

He joked that Barron now “respects his father a little bit more” because he got to introduce him to Ronaldo. The White House posted a video the next day showing Trump and Ronaldo walking with Rodriguez, calling them “Two GOATS.” Ronaldo recently opened up about his engagement to Rodriguez, saying the decision came naturally.

Ronaldo showed his appreciation on Instagram after the visit. He thanked Trump for the invite and said he is “ready to do my part as we inspire new generations to build a future defined by courage, responsibility and lasting peace.”
