PGA Tour 2K23 is the latest installment in the now longtime series formally known as The Golf Club. One thing that has always been a steady constant with these games are the courses. Golf courses are always an integral and incredibly significant aspect of golf as they not only challenge golfers but they tell many stories as well.
One course that has plenty of history and stories to tell is Augusta National. Hosting The Masters every year, it’s far and away one of the most popular golf courses on the planet and one that features many different paintings by artists, making it not only one of the prettiest golf courses but one of the prettiest places period.
Can You Play Augusta National In PGA Tour 2K23?
Augusta has been featured in video games before such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, 13, and 14 as well as the current game simply named EA Sports PGA Tour. But what about PGA Tour 2K23? Does it feature this iconic golf course? Yes, yes it does, but in its own unique way: by being added by the community through the course designer mode, which is a feature that’s been a staple in the series since the first game back in 2014.
If you want to tackle this iconic course in the game, then search for “Augusto National” that is designed by oneHughJaynas (yep, that’s right). From Amen Corner to Holly the 18th hole, everything looks really good and it’s fun to play. 2K and HB Studios have their own unique course that’s clearly inspired by Augusta called Lone Grove Golf Course, which is the host of the “Legends Championship” in career mode. It’s a very beautiful golf course that will give you the proper vibes, but it’s just not quite Augusta and so that’s where Augusto comes in.
There’s another version of Augusta that’s excellent and was created by the extremely talented theclv24 that captures just about every little detail of the historic golf course called The Nolia. It’s a great addition to your Augusta list. Then we have Geo Pines, which is yet another spectacular option created by LiDar, another longtime designer in the Golf Club/PGA Tour 2K community. It’s very detailed and easily one of the best course remakes in the game. Last but not least, it wouldn’t feel right if I left out “agbeta” — actually more of a prototype of sorts but is nonetheless a really strong option to add to your list. This particular remake is designed by Bifffe123.
PGA Tour 2K23 features several great real-world courses like Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, Torrey Pines, Bay Hill, and Quail Hollow but the community definitely extends things with the course designer. Thanks to creators like oneHugeJaynas, many gamers can enjoy their time on the virtual links with 1,000s of golf courses to choose from, including Augusto National.
