Breakout Juan Marichal has been added to the 3rd Inning Program in MLB The Show 21. This is the first player program for the latest program, and Juan Marichal is an interesting one. He can be one of the better starters in the game at times because he has a unique screwball pitch to go with solid quality and change of speeds. However, while this particular Breakout Juan Marichal card art is one we have grown familiar with over the years, I don’t think this will be the Marichal that slides into a ton of rotations.
He should still be a solid pitcher (and it’s nice to get him for free), but his velocity is not overpowering, and his change of speeds might not be quite enough here. Regardless, he has good control of everything but his changeup, and he has his usual high stamina to go deep into games if he’s not getting touched up.
As for the impact on the 3rd Inning Program, you will get 35,000 XP for collecting Breakout Juan Marichal. As for the moments, there are actually some where you need to take the field and not just pitch. Still, because this is a pitcher player program, this means the moments should not be too hard to complete.
