Bills just ended New England's 10-game win streak, then celebrated with New England's signature dish to rub it in

Bills troll Patriots after stunning comeback

The Buffalo Bills didn’t just end the New England Patriots’ 10-game winning streak. They made sure to troll their rivals after the 35-31 win. Buffalo came back from being down 24-7 at halftime to pull off an amazing comeback on the road.

According to ESPN, the Bills celebrated on X in a clever way after the game. They took a bowl of New England clam chowder and arranged crackers inside to spell out a giant “W.” It was the perfect way to celebrate a win that seemed impossible just two quarters earlier.

This comeback was truly historic. Teams that were at least nine games over .500 and led by 20 or more points had a perfect 161-0 record all-time. The Patriots led by 21 points early in the second quarter, but Buffalo had other plans. This ranks as the third-largest comeback in Bills history, and the biggest lead New England has ever blown at Gillette Stadium since November 1978.

The Bills proved they can bounce back from anything

The first half looked terrible for Buffalo. They started with three straight punts, and the defense gave up 285 yards. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson ran for a 52-yard touchdown as New England dominated the field.

But the Bills didn’t need a big halftime speech to turn things around. Coach Sean McDermott said his players knew what was happening. He looked at quarterback Josh Allen at halftime and could tell the whole team was ready to change things. The Patriots have had their share of memorable moments with former players, but this loss will sting for a while.

That change showed up immediately in the second half. Running back Ray Davis returned the opening kickoff 58 yards to put Buffalo at New England’s 44-yard line. Allen said that return gave them confidence to just play football and stop worrying about the score.

Allen then led the Bills to five straight touchdown drives. They outscored the Patriots 28-7 in the second half. Allen completed 19 of 29 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 48 yards. He threw two touchdown passes to tight end Dawson Knox and one to running back James Cook III. Cook had a great game with 107 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The defense deserves credit too. After allowing nearly 300 yards in the first half, they gave up just 100 yards in the second half. They held Patriots quarterback Drake Maye under 200 passing yards for the first time this season. Maye has faced criticism before, including when Cam Newton questioned his abilities, but this loss wasn’t entirely on him.

Cornerback Tre’Davious White got an interception, ending Buffalo’s five-game streak of having at least one turnover. The Bills improved to 10-4 while the Patriots fell to 11-3, keeping the AFC East race alive.
