Rocket League is a game where style points are a huge flex. From the way we score goals to how our cars are customized, we want everything to look as good as possible. As we know from style in the real world, it all starts with our shoes, so why should it be any different with our cars?
Today, we are looking at the best Rocket League wheels that you can get in the game. We will rank them based on how they look and how hard they are to get. A big majority of Rocket League players prefer using wheels that are similar to what you would find in real life. This is because it keeps the cars looking less like toys and more like supercars.
How To Get More Wheels In Rocket League?
You can get new wheels in a variety of different ways in Rocket League. You can unlock basic Base wheels by completing the New Driver challenges. This will give you a basic selection to start your customization collection. You can unlock more unique wheels from Blueprints, Drops, and Trade-ins.
You can also get wheels from competing in Competitive playlist events and through different DLC cosmetic additions. There are also special timed events that appear as promotional items. So, you can pick up special wheels if you play the game or specific game modes at certain times. These wheels won’t likely come back into the game, but you may be able to get them through the trade-in system.
1. Black Diecis
A controversial move by the Rocket League team made the rare and highly sought-after Black Diecis free only a few months ago! The introduction of the Free Play Party LTE means that playing the game mode for a bit gives you the Black Diecis, which people were previously trading for a ridiculous price.
People who already have the Blak Diecis will feel robbed, saying that the charm is taken away from the Black Diecis by making them available to everyone. But it’s a huge win for people who previously wanted these wheels but didn’t have the funds to trade in for them.
The standard Diecis is a Common wheel, but all the variations fall under the Exotic class. Rocket League players like the Balck Diecis not just because of its previous rarity but also because the simple spokes look clean and stripped back. This is ideal if you want the body of your car to stand out or if you are going for a subtle and classy look.
2. Black Veloce
The Veloce wheels are another Common wheel type that looks great in Rocket League. The Black Veloce wheels turn this Common wheel into an Exotic variation that looks fitting for different car types, from street-racer setups to the Batmobile.
The main aspect that Rocket League players like about these wheels is that there is hardly any spacing in the wheel. Therefore, the Veloce does not show the brake discs or even the pitch through the tires. So, these may be for you if you are looking for wheels that truly black out your car. Another reason why people like these wheels is because of the pattern in the tire tread. It has a simple pattern with large gaps that look clean from the third-person view in Rocket League.
Other color variations of the Veloce look good, but don’t come close to the simplistic Black variation. If you prefer a colorful car and want the full setup to be as full as possible, the Veloce could be for you.
3. Hiro
The Hiro wheels are a simple set of rims that look excellent in almost every color variation. The color variation only affects two spokes on the wheel, giving a hint of color rather than a full block. The most popular ones tend to be the Black Hiro’s, but it depends on what the rest of your car looks like.
The Hiro is based on the popular Rays Volk Racing TE37SLs, which are used globally by people who tune and customize their cars. So, if you are into tuning cars, you may be familiar with these. This tie to real-life rims makes the Hiros a go-to option for players who like to keep their car setup realistic.
4. Titanium White Zomba
Zomba’s are one of Rocket League’s most iconic wheels. They were first introduced to Rocket League in 2016 with the Championship crates. Due to their rare nature, Zombas were highly sought after, and the Titanium White Zombas were particularly special.
Zombas have a geometric mandala effect covering the entire rim up to the tire line. The geometric mandala rotates and changes color over time, cycling between two or three different shades, depending on the color variation you are using.
The Titanium White Zomba is the most popular variation because it emits a white glow from your wheels, looking like a design seen in concept cars. The Titanium White Zomba makes your car look more like a UFO than a real car while also giving it a classy touch.
5. Gripstride HX: Inverted
Gripstride HX was initially available during Rocket Pass 2, but since this has ended, you can only get your hands on these through trading. They may be hard to get hold of, but the Special Edition Inverted wheels are even harder to find. These wheels feature an animation that pulses over the entire wheel, including the tires.
The Inverted versions of the Gripstride HX’s are sought after for their rarity, but also because they are fully blacked out. This means the color pulsing over the wheels stands out much more as the centers do not radiate light throughout the animation.
The Black and Titanium White Gripstride HX: Inverted wheels are the most popular. The Black variation looks awesome. It gives you a fully blacked-out wheel with a soft white glow revolving around it.
6. Cristiano
The Cristiano wheels quickly became a fan favorite because of the football association with Rocket League. The Cristiano features a football stitching design that covers almost the entire rim. Although these are popular, you might have guessed that the most popular variation is Black. Depending on the rest of the car, the other colors can look great.
They are incredibly easy to get hold of, so you see many players using them. People like the Cristiano wheels because they reference the football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. The other main reason that people use these is that they provide a clean block color with interesting detail to their car.
Although the Cristiano has a special version, Cristiano: Infinite, the regular Cristiano is on this list because of its simplicity, which doesn’t detract from the main car body.
7. Chakram
Chakram wheels look like something straight out of a Hot Wheels collection. This is for the Rocket League player who likes to be subtle but adds an artistic touch to their wheels. The Chakrams provide a subtle fractal design across five spokes. The tread looks like off-road tires, emphasizing the horizontal lines of your car from the third-person view.
The Chakram does come in a special edition version, the Chakram Holographic. This provides a glow around all the main lines of the wheels. Most people who use the Chakram tend to prefer the subtle hints of color you can provide through the different variations of the original version.
8. OEM
The OEM wheels are for the minimalist Rocket League players out there. They feature four pairs of spokes at right angles from the center. The stripped-back nature of these wheels does the opposite of what the Veloce does. Instead of reducing the sight through the wheels, the OEM wheels make the car almost look like it’s floating because you can see through the wheels.
The OEM’s color variants are excellent if you want to add a subtle touch to emphasize the main color of your setup. If not, the Black OEMs almost look like the tires aren’t being held together by anything.
9. Y.O.U
The Y.O.U. wheels are an excellent choice for Rocket League players who want to add a touch of the motorsports aesthetic to their setup. The fat tires and block-colored rims look like something straight off the F1 pits. Players also like that these tires have no tread on them. The blank tires look clean from the third-person view, and these are the only tires in the game with this blank tread.
You can even change the colorway to simulate the different grades of F1 tires, from Crimson for the softs to Titanium White for the hards. You even have Cobalt for wets and Forest Green for the intermediates.
10. Infinium
Infinium tires create a mirrored optical illusion that looks like the lights go on for an infinite number. Therefore, the wheels slightly change depending on the angle from which you see them. You can get these wheels from Blueprints and trades between players.
The different colorways reflect the outer color of the lights inside the wheels. The inner circle will always be a contrasting color, except for Titanium White, which makes these the most popular version. This subtle white light from the tires is similar to the effect we get from the Titanium White Zomba, but not as impactful.
Another nice touch in these wheels is the four glowing lines in the tires’ tread. These simple lines add a nice touch to your car’s setup and can complete the entire look of your car in a simple way.
