Best Players for Strike Force Evolution in EA FC 25

Downright filthy upgrades.

Following a string of underwhelming Evolutions during the FUT Birthday, EA FC 25 has released an absolute belter during UEFA Dreamchasers in Strike Force. While it is on the pricier side at 500,000 coins, you get a fantastic endgame level card that has three really amazing Playstyles+ for a striker, making it worth considering.

Of course, no one wants to spend that many coins on an underwhelming card. That’s why we’ve rounded up nine of the best attackers to evolve you won’t regret doing.

EA FC 25 Strike Force Evolutions Requirements And Total Upgrades

Strike Force Evo in EA FC 25

One of the best things about Strike Force Evolution is that it has much looser restrictions, the biggest being raising the max overall limit to 90. The upgrades are great across the board as well.

Requirements

  • Overall: Max 90
  • Pace: Max 98
  • Shooting: Max 98
  • Dribbling: Max 98
  • Total Positions: Max 2
  • PlayStyles+: Max 2
  • Position: ST

Upgrades

  • Overall: +10 (Max 94)
  • Pace: +10 (Max 95)
  • Shooting: +10 (Max 90)
  • Passing: +10 (Max 86)
  • Dribbling: +10 (Max 94)
  • Defending: +10 (Max 80)
  • Physical: +10 (Max 86)
  • SM: 4
  • PlayStyles+: Quick Step, Finesse Shot, Low Driven Shot
  • Roles: Inside Forward++
  • Position: LW, RW

The Playstyle+ and roles mean you can play the evolved card anywhere in the front three positions. You also get the newly added Low Driven Shot+ and two other meta Playstyles+ to have on any attacker. Given the cost, the best candidates here are someone who has or ends up getting all three Playstyles+ and/or caps out on the stats boost.

In terms of challenges to complete the Evolution, you have to play six matches and win one at the end.

Best Picks Strike Force Evolution In EA FC 25

Below are some of the best candidates for Strike Force Evolution. This isn’t strictly a ranked as a lot of cards are equally good. However, the lower you go down the list, the less enticing the upgrades become for whatever reasons, like stats, price, or availability.

1. Luis Suárez (Flashback)

Luis Suárez Striker Force EA FC 25

It is hard to find a good 90-rated card that is cheap, and given the price of the Evolution, you’d want a bang-for-your-buck player that’ll hold you off at least until Team of the Season. Luis Suárez’s Flashback card fits that bill — you can do his Flashback SBC until March 30, 2025, so act fast. He’ll need an 84, 85, 86, and 87 rated squads, which is super easy to get even without a massive pile of fodder. For those without a fodder, around 150,000 to 200,000 coins should do.

The Uruguayan is a proper number 9, so don’t expect him to dance around the pitch. With him, it is all about making runs, getting physical, and being in the right place. That also means he won’t be as amazing on the wings despite getting Inside Forward++. No Advance Forward++ means you may have to play him as a poacher or target man, too. Suárez also has a very underwhelming range of base Playstyles.

Of course, all that will not matter when you’re looking to slot him as an out-and-out striker. You always have an option to put in a False 9 behind him for better link-up play. Regardless, with three of the most meta Playstyles+ for a striker, Suárez is one of the most clinical forwards in the game currently.

2. Fernando Torres (Future Stars)

Fernando Torres is another standout card for the Strike Force Evolution in EA FC 25, and he goes neck and neck with Luis Suárez. Who you choose depends on whether you want someone who is purely physical or a little bit of agility with all-around capabilities — Suárez being the more brute among the two here. Another obvious thing is being an Icon, you don’t have to worry about linking with Torres, which can be a bit of an issue for the Inter Miami striker.

Both of these cards are SBCs, and Torres is relatively more expensive. One reason why Spanish forward is one of the best choices is that he’ll have both Quick Step+ and Rapid+, giving him the ability to both burst past opponents to make quick runs and pace-spam box-to-box on counters. That also means you can play him on the wings as an Inside Forward++. His weak passing can be compensated by using Engine. Playing him as your frontman on an Advanced Forward++ role is still as good a choice, no doubt.

Big reasons why you might not want to consider Torres are if you already have good players on the wings, and strictly as a striker, Suárez is better and cheaper. Both players are a good pick, nonetheless.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo (Globetrotters)

Cristiano Ronaldo will always remain a popular choice for any Evolution so long as the end product is good, even if a bit worse than top picks. The reason why the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner is sought after is that he has unique animations and was scanned to closely mimic his real-life movement. That’s besides his immense popularity, of course. He has that “aura” as the kids put it these days.

You can also guess that he is extinct, and when he hits the market, expect to dump an amount so big we’ll say it won’t be worth it. You’re better off doing his Flashback SBC and playing the Portuguese on the wings and pairing another striker from this list. We know you’re already at least halfway there with the SBC before EA bamboozled with this Evolution. His Strike Force evolved Globetrotters will give a similar level of performance as Flashback and will not disappoint you, however.

CR7 has marginally worse stats than our top picks, as Power Shot+ is a wee bit weaker than Low Driven Shot+ or Rapid+ currently. Put something like Hunter Chemistry style on him to make him just as clinical of a striker as any other card on this list. All in all, Cristiano Ronaldo is an excellent choice, but only if you already have him or don’t have his Flashback. Best to use the Evolution on someone else if you already have the Flashback.

4. Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Winter Wildcard)

Ole Gunnar Solskjær EA FC 25 Strike Force

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is another standout pick and perhaps the cheapest in this list — just 20,000 Coins to secure and another 500,000 for the Evolution. He gets all three preferred Playstyles+ and has a big list of silver Playstyles. You can chain him first with Birthday Finale to get high agility and base Pinged, Incisive, and Long Ball Pass. The Baby-faced Assassin will then be a formidable player to have on the wings. He isn’t stocky like others, so spare the worries about agility. Use Engine, and you’ll max out his dribbling, too.

His Evolved Winter Wildcard is much better than his UEFA Dreamchaser SBC. His SBC version is built more as a pure striker but has underwhelming Playstyles. Dreamchaser one is unlikely to break into your starting eleven as the game doesn’t have a shortage of good STs.

Where Ole Gunnar Solskjær falls off compared to our other picks is his finishing. He is unlikely to be as clinical as our other picks. You’ll have to then use the Finisher Chem style to make him a prolific goal scorer at a cost of lower pace. No matter where you play him, he remains an outstanding pick, especially if you’re anticipating better Evolutions for the top choices.

5. Ronaldo Nazário (Winter Wildcard)

Everything we said about CR7 applies to Ronaldo Nazário too — aura, unique animation, body type, expensive, and extinct. All that good stuff makes up for his lack of base Playstyles, and he plays as good as our top picks. Better in certain areas, even. The biggest bummer here is that his Winter Wildcard was going for 4-5 million before getting sold out in the market.

Whenever O Fenômeno returns to the market, he’ll be out in the same range or even more expensive. At that price point, we do not think it is worth it unless you’re swimming in cash. Remember, though, his name isn’t the only reason why he is that expensive (although that plays a part). At 96 pace and Rapid+, a well-timed run means no defender will ever be able to catch him. At 95 strength and a build like R9, you can’t muscle him out of position either.

You don’t even have to think about Chem styles for him. R9 will fly even on basic — in fact, none will make him as juiced. The only reason we put him so low down is the price. Feel free to use the Evolution on him if you already have him. You don’t have to look elsewhere. Although, try to wait until the end to see if any more suitable Evolutions pop up. You never know.

6. Johan Cruyff (On This Day)

Johan Cruyff’s On This Day card was a part of an SBC challenge that has now expired (look away if you missed it). The Dutch legend wasn’t exactly a bargain, so it is reasonable that you passed on him then. The only reason you might have done him is either for the name, or you were thinking ahead and knew an Evolution like this would arrive.

Whether it was accidental wisdom or deliberate future planning, Cruyff owners can now feast. One of the best parts about the card is its versatility. His base card lacked Playstyles+ to slot him up front. Luckily, the Evolutions solves it by giving Rapid+ and Finesse Shot+. You can play him at CAM, RW, LW, and ST, just fine. We recommend chaining him with Birthday Finale first to get more passing Playstyles that’ll make him an all-around beast. To make the most out of the chain, play him on either of the flanks as in Inside Forward++ or at CAM.

If you want him as your clinical frontman, use Hunter Chem style. For other positions, Engine works best. Cruyff has Tiki Taka+, and combining that with other passing playstyles allows him to be more involved by bringing in things like one-touch play. He’ll be on the loose quickly thanks to Quick Step+, too.

7. Sócrates (Winter Wildcard)

Sócrates Striker Force EA FC 25

Sócrates is another pure striker who is less about agility and more about goalscoring. At 6’4″ and Controlled Lengthy by using Hawk, the Brazilian legend will take tall strides to net you goals after goals. He is best played as a striker in an Advanced Forward++ position. Sócrates’ base Winter Wildcard didn’t have the pace needed for a striker that could keep up against top defenders, but that’s the least of your worries now with Rapid+ and the pace boost from Strike Force.

One standout thing about Sócrates is his 90 passing that could come in handy if you play two upfront or when an inside forward is running in on goal. Other than some outliers, most cards will end up with similar stats. Sócrates is the only one who has that high passing, which makes him tempting. He is a no-brainer if you have him. You are free to try him first to see whether or not you like his movements and other stuff.

He was part of SBC, and the challenge has now expired. That means you’ll have to look for our other top picks in case you do not have him.

8. Kenny Dalglish (Winter Wildcards)

We are having a Winter Wildcards galore here, and if you missed that promo, continue scrolling below as another one joins the fray. This time, it is the Icon Kenny Dalglish and his 89 OVR card that turns into a very capable winger with the Evolution. The Scottish legend is agile with high dribbling and base Tiki Taka that’ll make him a sought-after winger.

Yes, this Evolution makes him better than his million-coin-worth FUT Birthday card. Though if you did pack him, we suggest just using that and doing the Evolution on someone else. The card will hold on its own just fine. Because the price for Strike Force is steep, best to use it on someone who is a class apart and offers a much bigger upgrade. Nonetheless, Dalglish is an amazing pick for those who don’t have his FUT Birthday card.

Dalglish’s other 89 OVR card is also eligible for the Evolution. It is strictly worse and has an underwhelming range of base Playstyles. But that card will be easier to find in the market. Winter Wildcard is extinct, so you’re out of luck unless you packed him through the Icon pick.

9. Alexander Sørloth (Winter Wildcards)

The Winter Wildcards party continues, and we’re closing our list with Alexander Sørloth. You’ve already guessed why he is a standout pick — yes, that 99 physical. The 6’5″ Norwegian is an absolute powerhouse on the pitch that no defender will be able to bully.

To make Sørloth better on the wings, you can do Birthday Finale Evolution first. This will give him more base passing Playstyles. Otherwise, he is better to be played as your target forward.  Lob him a pass or get him on the end of corners, and let him do the rest. Like most of our popular picks, Sørloth is extinct too. He isn’t crazy expensive and was going around 50,000 before, so see if you can snipe him. Or try your luck with a campaign pick.

Those were the nine standouts for the Strike Force Evolution in EA FC 25. And, here are even more cards worth considering:

  • Robin van Persie (Future Stars SBC)
  • Alexander Isak (Thunderstruck)
  • Ollie Watkins (Grassroot Greats)
  • Antonio Di Natale (Winter Wildcard)
  • Viktor Gyökeres (Thunderstruck)
  • Samuel Eto’o (Base Icon)
  • Cody Gakpo (Showdown)
  • Kasper Høgh (RTTF)

Is Strike Force Evolution Worth Doing In EA FC 25?

Yes, Strike Force Evolution is worth doing in EA FC 25, as the upgrades it provides are well worth the cost. Any and every card that hit the cap in stats for the upgrade — or has stats very close to our top picks — are good candidates. You can try their base first to see whether you like their animations, how good they are to control, or their general responsiveness. And should they tick all the boxes, cough out your Coins and you’re set until Team of the Season.

For players who are short on coins and already have a stacked attacker lineup like the Team of the Year Icon Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo Flashback, or similar elite options, you can comfortably sit this one out. While the Evolutions may give you a better overall card, it won’t be as drastic to panic. They’ll hold on their own just fine until TOTS. For players who don’t have any insane attacking lineup and have at max 90 to 92 rated cards, this one is a no-brainer.

Regardless, we suggest waiting until the last day. More cards will be added, like Team 2 for UEFA Dreamchasers, so there will be many potential candidates there. It is always better to wait than jump in early only to regret it later.
