Anyone who’s watched even a minute of Premier League or European football this season has surely heard Anfield’s deafening chorus for a certain Egyptian as he shimmies down the wing, gliding past defenders and nets record-breaking goals week in, week out. The King of Egypt Evolution in EA FC 25 is a nod to that very dominance exhibited by Mohamed Salah in the final third, giving your players a boost to perform on a similar level as the current Ballon d’Or favorite.
The Evolution was supposed to boost RW and RM position players, but a bug initially prevented RM players from being eligible, so EA released another Evo for them — King of Egypt Evolution II. EA may miss as usual, but we won’t and will list the best picks for both the Evolution in one place.
Below are the four best players for each King of Egypt Evolution in EA FC 25.
EA FC 25 King Of Egypt Evolutions Requirements And Total Upgrades

Both the King of Egypt and King of Egypt II EVOs have the same requirements and upgrades. The only difference is the former is for any player who has an RW position and the other is for the RM position. Cost remains the same for both as well, 75,000 Coins or 600 FC Points.
Here are the full requirements and total upgrades you get:
Requirements
- Overall: Max 88
- Pace: Max 90
- Dribbling: Max 90
- Total Positions: Max 3
- PlayStyles: Max 10
- PlayStyles+: Max 2
- Position: RW (RM for King of Egypt II)
Total Upgrades
- Overall: +30 (Max 90)
- Pace: +30 (Max 92)
- Shooting: +35 (Max 90)
- Passing: +35 (Max 86)
- Dribbling: +30 (Max 90)
- Defending: +30 (Max 70)
- Physical: +35 (Max 80)
- Weak Foot: +1 (Max 4)
- Positions: RM for King of Egypt I and RW for King of Egypt II
- PlayStyles+: Finesse Shot, Press Proven
- PlayStyles: Finesse Shot, Press Proven
- Roles: Winger++, Inside Forward+
With the amount of stats it boosts, you don’t have to do insane chains like Finesse Express. RM version will give players the RW position, and likewise, you get RM for doing the RW. That means if you’re doing both, it is best to pick players who can play different positions so you get two usable good cards for your starting eleven and not two players contesting for the same slot.
As for challenges, the objectives are a mix of scoring goals, assisting, winning, and playing games. Nothing too hard, just play Squad Battle if you don’t want it to be stressful.
4 Best Players For King Of Egypt Evolution In EA FC 25
Of course, there will be many players who are eligible for both of these Evolutions in EA FC 25. The RM (King of Egypt II) version is, however, a good chance to bring boosts for many of your RBs, so that one can be reserved for your fullbacks.
Below are all the standouts for the first King of Egypt.
1. Steve McManama (Winter Wildcards)

Steve McManaman is arguably the best pick for King of Egypt Evolution in EA FC 25. He has another RM Winter Wildcards, but it has three positions already which makes him ineligible for this Evolution. McManaman’s RB Winter Wildcards is eligible for both versions of King of Egypt and is one of the very few cards that doesn’t end up with identical stats.
Given the amount of boosts the Evolution provides is high and the way EA has capped it, all your attackers will end up with similar stats. This means players who usually play in different positions — like midfielders and wingbacks — get an edge as they’ll have higher passing or defending. McManaman plays RB primarily with RW as a potential position, so he’ll have high defensive numbers. Tossing him on the Evolution will give him amazing numbers all around.
We still suggest continue using him as an attacking RB instead of an RW. To make sure he is a solid RB, it is very important to do Fantasy Cup 3 Evolution first. It’ll give him a good defensive gold Playstyle of Bruiser+ and retain Lengthy AcceleRATE. With those, he catches up with opposing attackers on counters and can wrestle them out of possession. That’s a machine RB right there. Unfortunately, if you haven’t won 12 Fantasy Cup 3 games, you won’t have Fantasy Cup 3 Evo.
The stats without Fantasy Cup 3 will be the same, but you’ll lose Lengthy, and Finesse Shot+ might not be the very best Playstyle+ to have on your RBs. You can play him in a more forward position then, and he will still be solid, even if it isn’t strictly better than with the Fantasy Cup 3 Evo path.
2. David Beckham

Similar to McManaman, the David Beckham Icon card having higher passing gives him a stats advantage over other pure wingers for the Evo. The English legend is the only eligible card with a passing rating higher than 90. The rest of the attacking stats despite being lower will match other players, thanks to the Evolution buffs.
There are a couple of negatives with this card, however. For one, it only has 3-star Skill Moves. You can work around that if you don’t perform too many skills, but it’s surely limiting. Another issue is that he won’t be as explosive or agile as other picks. His acceleration and agility numbers aren’t really bad per se, but he is definitely on the lower side when it comes to the players on this list. Lastly, he is extinct, so you may not be able to find him on the market for a good while. And when he eventually reappears, he’ll likely be expensive.
Where David Beckham on this EVO will excel is in a setup that is low on tempo and demands exceptional passing. Use some Chem styles like Catalyst or Engine, and Becks will rarely give the ball away when distributing or pressing.
3. Endrick

Endrick is one of the best players for the King of Egypt Evolution in EA FC 25. The best thing about Endrick is that you can just use his super-cheap base Gold, toss it into the Evo, and get a formidable player on the flank in return.
There are a couple of chains you can do here as well. None will bring any stats boost for Endrick that can exceed the EVO, but you can add more silver Playstyles and different Playstyles+.
One reason why you wouldn’t consider the King of Egypt EVO for Endrick is that you’ll be able to get better results for him by chaining other EVOs, particularly Finesse Express, Just Like Jamie, and some Fantasy boosts like Fantasy FC Captain. You’ll have worse passing, but everything else will be better. You also get 99 dribbling that way, too, so the already nimble Endrick will be even more responsive to your right-stick play. It also adds Tiki Taka+ and he will be much better in tight spaces, making Endrick a more complete striker like his childhood idol, Sir Bobby Charlton, in this path.
Arguments in favor of the King of Egypt Evolution are simple: You don’t have to chain much, and there are better candidates for the chain we mentioned above.
4. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is another standout for the King of Egypt Evolution in EA FC 25. He is insanely versatile and has five stars in both SM and WF — that’s what sets him apart from all the players on the list. Kvaratskhelia goes neck and neck with Endrick, and you can simply do his base Gold with no chain and get a formidable card. You can use him in both versions of EVOs, too.
One difference between Kvaratskhelia and Endrick is that the latter will be somewhat more agile and rapid, but the overall performance will be about the same. And who you pick will largely come down to your team’s chemistry. Kvaratskhelia also has a POTM Serie A card. The end stats for both of these are the same, and SBC is now expired, so there is no need to stress if you don’t have it. You’re better off saving his POTM for future EVOs, should a better one ever appear.
Of course, if you already have Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s Fantasy FC card, there is no reason to do this Evolution for him — the Evolution won’t exceed the Fantasy FC card.
These are all four cards that were worth mentioning for the first King of Egypt EVO. As we have already said, it is hard to have a big list of players here as the boost and cap make it so that everyone is on almost the same level except for a few outliers we mentioned above. Anyway, here is another short list of players that you can consider doing the Evo for:
- Le Sommer
- Marco Asensio (NumeroFUT)
- Luis Díaz
- Rodrygo
- Antony Matheus dos Santos
4 Best Players For King Of Egypt II Evolution In EA FC 25
Below are the four standout RM players on whom you can use King of Egypt II Evolution:
1. Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Grassroot Greats)

Lock it in, champs — Giovanni Di Lorenzo is the guy, gold Playstyles or not. Di Lorenzo’s Grassroot Great card is the clear winner for the King of Egypt II Evolution in EA FC 25. More so if you chose to have a life during the Fantasy FC period and couldn’t get Maicon.
We’re here for stats and stats alone. Giovanni’s biggest weakness are his shooting and dribbling. Often, attacking wingbacks will find themselves in positions where those attributes matter, especially in setups where they’re more than just stay-at-home defenders or simple wide outlets. He already has a good Playstyle+ for his position, and we recommend continuing playing him there in an attacking role instead of higher up as RM or RW.
Even if you don’t have him or used him in the Grassroot Growth Evolution instead, buying him off the market isn’t anywhere near expensive. Keep in mind that Giovanni will lose his Grassroot Greats special chemistry as his card rarity will be changed after the Evolution. Linking him isn’t particularly hard, though, and it is unlikely his base with 87 OVR will remain usable for you in the long run.
2. Claude Makélélé (Winter Wildcard)

Claude Makélélé’s Winter Wildcard is another out-of-position special card that benefits from the King of Egypt Evolution. Like Steve McManama, it is better to do the Fantasy Cup 3 Evolution to get Bruiser+, which is a more suitable playstyle than whatever you’ll get with King of Egypt Evolution. Otherwise, you’re better off using the EVO on any other player we mentioned on this list.
Keep in mind that you can only use Fantasy Cup 3 once. Steve McManama is a better candidate for that, so Makélélé is best on the sidelines should you have to pick between the two. Of course, if you already have a good RB, you’re free to chain Claude Makélélé. One weakness for Makélélé is the range of playstyle. He is built as a traditional, no-nonsense, pure CDM. Nothing in terms of base playstyle will give you enough to make him more involved in the play.
Makélélé’s Winter Wildcard was added as an SBC challenge, so if you don’t have him, you won’t be able to get him. You can do his base Icon, too, but he won’t be better than other picks and much worse than his Winter Wildcard.
3. Maicon Douglas (Base Hero)

If your friends are flaunting their Fantasy FC Maicon Douglas, show them your King of Egypt II Evo-ed base Hero Maicon and remind them of all the fun you had while they were grinding their tails off for marginal stat boosts. Of course, they will call you names, but let them seethe. In all seriousness, Maicon base Hero is a good card to put into the King of Egypt II EVO.
Like Makélélé, he is an amazing candidate if you have the Fantasy Cup 3 EVO, as he gets Bruiser+ which is always better on a player like him than something like Finesse Shot+. Otherwise, it’s better to just do Giovanni Di Lorenzo, in our opinion. While the stats are similar, Maicon’s lack of base Playstyles is what moves him lower down the pecking order. Another reason is that Maicon is three times more expensive than Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Maicon will be a more “brute” at the back than the Italian, that’s for sure. And with Lengthy, he can chase attackers on the counter better. Regardless, among all the same-stats attackers that you can get with this Evolution, Maicon is a standout.
4. Jarrod Bowen (Winter Wildcards)

Jarrod Bowen’s Winter Wildcard is yet another special card that fits perfectly into the Evolution. One reason why he is a standout is that he has Technical+. Combine it with Finesse Shot+ and 5-star SM, he is a formidable player to have cover your flanks. Other Technical+ players like Hina Sugita’s NumeroFUT are more tempting with 5 stars in both SM and WF, but she’ll be a lot harder to link than Bowen.
Bowen might not have the most impressive range of base Playstyles in this, but he doesn’t miss out on some essentials like Rapid and Press Proven. He also can even play as a striker, so you get a bit of versatility with him. All the attributes across the board for him are well within a good range.
However, he isn’t really the frontrunner for the Evolution, just a solid pick. You can also do his base gold, but it isn’t worth it with an underwhelming playstyle and chain possibility.
That’s the King of Egypt II wrapped. And here are some honorable mentions:
- Lamie Yamal
- Hina Sugita (NumeroFUT)
- Vanderson de Oliveira Campos (NumeroFUT)
- Kingsley Coman
- Federico Valverde
Is King of Egypt Evolution Worth Doing In EA FC 25?
Yes, King of Egypt is worth doing in EA FC 25, as 75,000 coins isn’t anything that you can’t make with a decent grind. Even if you do both, the cost is worth it since cards with similar stats will likely cost more.
But don’t just do it blindly. Check the stats cap for the Evolution and see if you already have multiple players in RW and RM that exceed it. If you do, you’re better off picking eligible players who can play different positions like RBs. While the stat boosts are nice, they are not going to outclass any of the half-good attacking options available in the game, unless you’re struggling to fill that position for whatever reason.
As always, the best decision is to wait as much as you can for the Evolution. FUT Birthday is shaping up to be a fantastic promo, so you might as well pack a good attacking player or right back to save yourself the coins, or end up finding a player that suits the Evolution better.
