Best Madden 25 Mods

Add a little bit of spice.

Madden 25 has had an impressive launch. Realistic graphics and balanced gameplay have helped it win the gaming community’s favour. But there are always those little things players might prefer changing, and that’s where mods come in. The Madden series is no stranger to mods, be it for the graphics or simply the scoreboard.

We know searching for the best mods isn’t easy, which is why we’ve simplified the process. Today, we’ll be talking about the best mods in Madden 25 and what they do. You can use these to enhance your gameplay experience or simply change things up a bit over time. And these mods aren’t restricted to a single game mode either, but that’s something we’ll take a look at later on.

Gameplay Mod (v2.3.1) By Sabos

The Gameplay Mod by Sabos is currently one of the most popular mods for Madden 25. While most mods tackle aspects like jerseys and faces, Sabos created this mod to enhance the AI’s situational awareness. In simpler terms, the AI can make smarter, more informed decisions when this mod is active.

So, what does the mod do? The Gameplay Mod creates a ‘vision cone’ that limits the AI QB’s vision based on his Awareness (AWR) stat. The higher the AWR stat, the more vision he’ll have to spot out open receivers during the play. Another major addition was that QBs will now have a random roll chance to be more aggressive when looking for primary or open receivers. This change is also affected by the QB’s AWR stat.

All in all, this mod is completely based on the AWR stat. Players with higher awareness will be less likely to throw to covered receivers, meaning an informed decision. On the other hand, QBs with low AWR might not see open receivers, and the reaction to pressure will be delayed and subpar.

These changes mean the AI is likely to play better overall. Depending on the team, you’ll face better decisions and improved coordination during plays. Sabos also moved the touchback on kickoffs (read more on how to kick) to 35 yards, following the NFL’s new rules. This mod is definitely something we recommend using to enhance your gameplay experience and achieve a more realistic outcome.

Ultimate Rookie Mod By DT, SovietDog, DerJaeger, etc.

You’re probably thinking that if so many modders worked together on this mod, it should be game-changing. And it is, in some ways. The Ultimate Rookie mod is based on Sinthros’ Start Today mod, and it contains the entire updated franchise file for starters.

Moreover, it also has all the Madden unlocked accessories like selectable tattoos, attached and hanging mouthguards, additional cleats, gloves, etc. Probably the most breathtaking part of this mod is the addition of real cyber faces for some prominent rookies out there, for e.g., Travis Hunter. This adds to the realism of Madden 25 as accurately depicting a real-life person in a video game is not an easy feat.

Other changes include a new splash screen intro made by one of the modders on the Ultimate Rookie mod team, as well as other related mods like AutoVersionURM and M25 Unlocked.

NBC Scorebug By TheKyKeith

Modding players is great, but your gameplay experience includes more than that. This mod focuses on something most of us overlook: the scoreboard. The NBC Scorebug mod by TheKyKeith introduces a new look for your traditional scoreboard. Not only does it look much cleaner than Madden’s original scoreboard, but you can also get the NBC logo in the top right corner of your screen.

Other than that, a small circle between the team names also shows possession. One half of the circle lights up to indicate which team currently has possession, so it’s easier for players to follow. Every event is also beautifully displayed on the scoreboard with custom animations, so it doesn’t get monotonous.

AFC North Rebrands By RunninWild

The AFC North Rebrand mod by RunninWild encompasses new jerseys for all four teams (some teams look better, some look worse) in the division:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Cincinnati Bengals

While a lot of players are fans of the original jerseys, having new options never hurts. The mod includes jerseys with updated sleeves and stripes, mostly. However, players will also notice some completely new jerseys with exquisite designs and patterns. The home and away jerseys for the Pittsburgh Steelers even have PIT written on the sleeves.

RunninWild also added a more metallic touch to the helmets to make them more prominent in-game. This was applied to all the teams. One of our favourite jerseys has to be the Bumblebee-themed jersey for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the black stealth jersey for the Cincinnati Bengals.

This mod adds a lot of depth and options when picking your jersey. But don’t worry, all the jerseys still stem from the original colours of the team, e.g., orange and black for the Cincinnati Bengals. Mix and match to your heart’s content to find your favourite jerseys in Madden 25. You can look for other divisions like the AFC West and AFC East, or even other leagues like the NFC East.

32 Custom Fields By RunninWild

Another amazing mod by RunninWild is the 32 Custom Fields mod. When activated, players will see a custom background etched onto the field related to the home team.

For the Bengals, you’ll see a jungle pattern all over the field. The Eagles have ‘We The People’ stretching the entire field, while the 49ers have an outline of the Golden Gate Bridge on their home turf. You can check out all 32 custom fields yourself if you activate this mod, because it keeps the player’s interest piqued.

Clean Screen By CujoMatty

It can be annoying to have unnecessary bars and stats on your screen while playing. CujoMatty’s Clean Screen mod helps get rid of all those distractions. Once activated, the Clean Screen mod removes all excessive stats on your screen, leaving just your selected options.

You can remove the momentum bar, stamina bar, etc. The mod doesn’t get rid of these stats from the game (that would be impossible), but simply makes it so that they aren’t shown on your screen all the time. This allows you to focus on the game at hand and make better decisions.

Snow Field Clear By TBR

One aspect Madden players complain about a lot is the lack of visibility during matches when it is snowing. Originally, when it snows during matches, it becomes difficult to see the ball, receivers, goal lines, etc. The Snow Field Clear mod fixes this issue by keeping the field devoid of snow and aiding with a clear vision field.

You can also check out the mod for a full field of snow, but you might run into the same issue of the lack of visibility.

UFL 2025 By AustinDPaige

Our last mod might be the biggest one yet, as it introduces an entirely new set of teams into Madden 25. The UFL 2025 mod allows you to play with 32 teams in the United Football League. This is basically a development league for players who couldn’t make it to the NFL, and are willing to give it another go.

The following teams are added in the UFL 2025 mod:

  • Arlington Renegades
  • Birmingham Stallions
  • DC Defenders
  • Houston Roughnecks
  • Memphis Showboats
  • Michigan Panthers
  • San Antonio Brahmas
  • St. Louis Battlehawks

Besides these 8, you’ll have access to 24 other teams as well from across various leagues like the CFL, XFL, USFL, and AAF. Each team has its own home and away jersey, intro, stadium, and anything else a team would need.

The mod has been in development for the past year, and AustinDPaige hopes to keep bringing players new updates. He went as far as to keep the coaches and staff of each team the same as they are in real life, right down to the office staff.

If you’re thinking of shaking things up a bit, definitely try out the UFL 2025 mod and experience playing with some completely new teams and play styles.
