Best Center Build in NBA 2K25

The best center in the game.

With guys like Jokic and Embiid making their names in the league, it’s a sign that centers aren’t just limited to the rim anymore — they are full-on dominant playmakers. These two have altered everyone’s perspective on the position. While being a force on the inside, they can also knock down shots from deep. Thanks to this versatility, centers are back to being the most played and discussed positions in NBA 2K25.

That said, I bring you this guide so you can opt for the best center build in MyCareer mode and become unstoppable. This build will focus on creating a center that gives you command over both sides of the game, punishes small matchups, spaces the floor, and makes plays as a guard does. It’s not just a center build — it’s a recipe for creating a monster that outshines everybody on the court.

To cook up a dominating center, you have to start with getting their physical dimensions down. Consider the following attributes:

  • Height: 7’1”
  • Weight: 240lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’6”

With that taken care of, here are the skills and the values that this center should use:

  • Close Shot (80)
  • Driving Layup (45)
  • Driving Dunk (65)
  • Standing Dunk (81)
  • Post Control (60)
  • Mid Range Shot (85)
  • 3 Pointer (79)
  • Free Throw (81)
  • Passing Accuracy (93)
  • Ball Handle (55)
  • Speed with Ball (40)
  • Interior Defense (82)
  • Perimeter Defense (62)
  • Steal (60)
  • Block (88)
  • Offensive Rebound (96)
  • Defensive Rebound (81)
  • Speed (66)
  • Agility (53)
  • Strength (89)
  • Vertical (80)

The following build ticks all of the boxes for qualities that a center must be skilled at. The most vital part of this build is the rebounding, as this is something the center should always be doing in a game. Since offensive rebounds pose a challenge, this center build focuses on it heavily. Due to this, the offense will not be in much of a position to get the ball, and the defensive rebounds will come more easily. Plus, if you pair it with Rebound Chaser, Boxout Beast, or Patroller Badges, this build can even recover a missed shot.

The secret behind dominant players such as Jokic and Embiid is more than just their size (demonstrated here as 89 Strength); it’s their passing ability. That’s the reason I cranked up the Passing Accuracy to a (93) and combined it with badges like the Break Starter and Dimer, making the build OP.

To further polish the offense and defense for the center, use the High-Flying Denier and Deadeye badges. This makes it easier for you to counter all types of layups and shots happening in the paint, while the second one boosts your chances of making shots that are challenged by defenders directly in front of you.

Regardless of the aspects, this build will enhance your center to a greater extent. Although they won’t be the primary shooter for the team, they can significantly drain the opponents when needed and can prevent them from getting easy buckets in the key area.
