The cause of death of the child has been ruled inconclusive. According to a report from the Fayette County Coroner’s office revealed by Us Weekly on Thursday, September 4, extensive microscopic analyses are essential to determine the cause and manner of death.

Faueyye’s County Coroner, Gary Ginn, did state the autopsy results. He acknowledged the concern and sensitivity surrounding the death and ensured that they were conducting thorough investigations.

“I understand the community’s concern and sensitivity surrounding the death of a child. We are conducting a thorough and methodical death investigation to ensure all facts are carefully considered.”

The Coroner’s Report Does Not Provide A Clear Cause Of Death

On August 27, authorities were called to Snelling’s house in Lexington. The call was about an unresponsive infant present in her home.

LEX 18 News revealed that the infant was located wrapped in a towel inside a black trash bag. Snelling was interviewed by the authorities, where she admitted to giving birth and placing the infant in the trash bag, including all the cleaning items used to clean the evidence.

Snelling was arrested on Saturday, August 30, and was charged with Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Concealing the Birth of an Infant. The Lexington Police Department, which is still unsure of the clear cause of the death, is continuing to investigate this horrific incident.

The Lack Of Answers Leaves A Painful Wait For The Family

The University of Kentucky’s Stunt cheerleader pleaded not guilty to all charges during an appearance in the courtroom on Tuesday, September 2. She was released on $100,000 bail and is now living with her parents; however, this leaves the family with a lack of answers for the infant’s death.

Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn revealed that the results of a preliminary autopsy yielded inconclusive findings for the baby’s cause of death. The death investigation is currently underway and is pending results of further studies on the potential cause.
