WWE 2K25 is back with some new characters, match types, and of course, an all-new Showcase mode known as The Bloodline Dynasty. This time, it’s more focused on the Samoan family tree and gives fans around 17 matches. This year’s Showcase also offers more depth to the story, diving into the history of the Anoa’i family.Â
While some may draw comparisons between this year’s focus and the Steve Austin 2K16 Showcase, Bloodline Dynasty offers its own unique experience. Let’s dive into the iconic moments of this showcase with this curated match list, ranked from worst to best. We’ll also look at the trove of new rewards to snag.Â
17. Tamina – Money In The Bank 2017

Ladder matches are always a lot of fun, but they can also be quite frustrating. Both statements remain true for this Money In The Bank match with Tamina, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella, and Natalya. The minigame for unhooking the championship or briefcase has always been quite the struggle, but 2K25’s new system is an absolute game-changer.Â
As for the match itself, having five superstars in the ring without any limiting rules, it’s pure chaos. You barely have time to handle one opponent before another is right on your tail. It doesn’t help that most of your opponents also have a higher rating than Tamina.
It was not a match that you would want to revisit in the future. The only way to get this match done easily is to knock everybody out of the ring. Tamina is a slow character and unable to move or slide into the ring very quickly. While it’s fun in the beginning, it becomes quite the slog a quarter of the way through.

16. The Islanders (Haku & Tama)
This is one of the more traditional matches in the showcase. You play as The Islanders (Haku and Tama) against he Street Profits in a 2 out of 3 falls tag match. However, the objectives aren’t that interesting. You just have to keep up the offense, connect five combos, and hit the Street Profits with signatures/finishers.Â
Fortunately, there is quite a bit of freedom here because of the basic objectives. You can take the fight outside, break the announcers’ table, and/or go for some top-rope shenanigans. It’s about as fun as you make it. But because this match is the result of fantasy booking, mileage may vary from player to player.Â

15. Naomi Vs. Bayley

Naomi getting a Showcase match is a win on its own, so it’s cool to see that WWE is giving her some well-deserved respect here. However, from a story perspective, the argument for putting her in a Bloodline showcase is pretty weak. While she is a part of the Anoa’i family, her participation in its story is next to none.
Still, that doesn’t stop this from being a great match.

14. 3 Minute Warning Vs. Authors of Pain
3 Minute Warning, looking like they stepped straight out of 2003, feels highly nostalgic. This isn’t just a match; it’s a clash of eras. 3 Minute Warning brings back memories of the Ruthless Aggression era’s chaotic energy, while AOP’s power-based dominance creates a compelling dynamic.Â
This one is a Tornado Tag match with no disqualifications. Both teams are known for their power, which unfortunately leads to a slower-paced match. The objective is simple, you have three minutes to severely damage one specific body part of Akam and Rezar. There’s not a lot of room for creativity here, as the match will be over before you even get around to that.

13. The Wild Samoans Vs. The Dudley BoyzÂ
You can’t mention the Dudley Boyz without speaking of tables. In this match, you compete as The Wild Samoans Afa and Sika Anoaʻi against the Dudley Boyz in a Tag Team Tables Match. As you can probably guess, the only way to win is to put either of the Dudley Boyz through the table.
This match sounds like a lot of fun on paper, but the reality is sadly different. The Samoan’s old gritty brawling style clashes awkwardly with the Dudley Boyz’s chaotic antics. Also, the objective boils down to taunts, weakening the opponents, and putting them through a table to end it all. Â
Breaking tables is always fun, but other than that, this one doesn’t have much to offer.

12. Civil War Games

Wargames is an interesting match setup and was introduced to the series back in 2K23. Much like a Survivor Series match, it pits two teams against each other. The twist is that teams are locked in a cage and wait for a timer to count down before a new entrant comes in. In 2K25, the Showcase mode pits Roman’s OG Bloodline against Solo’s Rogue Bloodline squad.
The premise is quite interesting, but like all matches with a lot of members, it gets very hectic. You will quickly get crowded in the ring, your teammates go for pinfalls way too quickly, and making the opponents bleed (which is an objective) is difficult. To put it simply, this match is tedious.Â
With that being said, it’s still better than the ladder match with Tamina. You at least have playable superstars that are powerful, and the fast pace of the match is exciting. It’s frustrating mostly because of the format, but you might find joy in it regardless.Â

11. The Headshrinkers Vs. The Steiner Brothers
This match is a throwback to the early 90s, showcasing two powerhouse tag teams at their peak. You face off against The Steiner Brothers as Fatu and Samu — The Headshrinkers. It’s enjoyable to lean into Fatu and Samu’s bruising style to overwhelm the Steiners with relentless strikes. And Scott and Rick always have an answer with crisp suplexes and powerhouse slams.Â
It’s nostalgic to see these teams collide, especially in the WrestleMania IX setting. The crowd is electric, and they respond especially well if you execute a double-team move. While there are no spectacular scripted moments, it’s a fun match simply because of the characters, the setting, and the move sets at your disposal.

10. “The High Chief” Peter Maivia Vs George “The Animal” Steele
Peter Maivia has a very fierce persona and a flashy entrance. The cage adds a lot of brutality to the match, but the objectives don’t force you to use the structure all that much. Of course, that’s not going to stop most players.Â
Again, this is one of the shorter matches of the Showcase. It’s fun nonetheless, and you unlock George “The Animal” Steele as a reward. It’s geared toward fans familiar with the older generation of wrestlers, and it’s nice to see that WWE still appreciates that history.Â

9. Yokozuna Vs. Hulk Hogan

This one is short and sweet, but it can be frustrating on the higher difficulties. If you let Hulk Hogan grab you into a bear hug, he can submit Yokozuna pretty quickly. Yokozuna isn’t fast, but Hulk Hogan seems to get in your face rather quickly. The match takes place at WrestleMania IX, and it’s a homage to the original.
It’s the first match in the Bloodline Showcase after the intro, and they definitely picked an interesting way to start it off. The match turns into a cutscene when you hit the Belly-to-Belly suplex, and that’s where things start to get interesting. Otherwise, this is quite a basic one-fall match to kick off the Showcase.

8. Nia Jax Vs. Lyra Valkyria
This match is a bit more grounded and easier to digest than the other more chaotic and frustrating matches in the Showcase. However, it isn’t exactly the best one either. Personally, I wish they recreated the Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss match from WrestleMania 34. Still, this was an interesting pick and one that pays off.
At the very least, it is surprisingly fun to compete as Nia Jax. Her move set is satisfying, and there is at least one cinematic cutscene here that makes things interesting. It’s a solid filler match, but there are more interesting ones that outshine it with ease.Â

7. Solo Sikoa Vs. Carmelo Hayes

This one is a look into the NXT days. Carmelo Hayes, then the North American NXT Champion, issued an open challenge to anybody on the roster. Unfortunately for him, this challenge was answered by Solo Sikoa.Â
For starters, the NXT arena this match takes place in is stunning, and the crowd is electric. There are a couple of great cutscenes here too, and they sell the viciousness of Sikoa. While it’s nothing too flashy, this is a solid one-on-one bout that’s fun to play through.Â

6. Rocky Maivia Vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Triple H and The Rock have competed against each other countless times in the past, and it’s always been an enjoyable watch. This Showcase match is no different, taking place in the 1997 Thursday RAW arena before either of them was over. As if the match wasn’t already interesting enough, the Intercontinental Championship is also at stake.Â
This showcase match is a tribute to the actual match between Rocky Maivia and Helmsley, back when they weren’t known as The Rock or Triple H, respectively. Like the real match, this one ends in a sneaky pin that comes out of nowhere. Is it the most creative fight? Nope. But, it pays homage to a great match that many might have forgotten about.

5. Umaga Vs. John Cena

John Cena’s feud with Umaga was highly underrated, and it is one that you should go back and watch if you’re not familiar with it. Their 2007 Royal Rumble match was a particularly bloody mess, but the Showcase instead focuses on their New Year’s Revolution match.
Umaga had a terrifying in-ring presence, as he was highly athletic and fast for a man of his size. This is a technical and fast-paced match through and through, and even better at higher difficulties. Admittedly, this is ranked so high because of Umaga’s move set and how you’re able to demolish Cena so quickly.

4. Rikishi Vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
Rikishi and Stone Cold in a no-holds-barred match? That’s just some straight brutality out of the Attitude Era. This match took place in real life back in 2000 at No Mercy, and the storyline leading up to it was incredible. It’s not just a match, it’s a tale of vindication. Austin won back then with ease, but this Showcase match changes that narrative.
This Showcase match is full of great scripted moments, enjoyable objectives, and a flashback cutscene building up to it that’s nothing short of cinematic. It’s a lot of fun all the way through.

3. The Tribal Gauntlet

Roman Reigns is the face of 2K25, so it’s fitting that the last match of the Showcase depicts him as an absolute powerhouse. Now, you can pick anyone else from the Bloodline Dynasty to compete in this match, but you’ll have an easier time with Roman. In a Gauntlet match, your objective is to eliminate every opponent as they enter the ring one by one.Â
Being a 10-man Gauntlet match, this gets very grueling quickly, but in a fun way. Tackling one opponent after the other while trying to limit incoming damage is exhilarating. I recommend going for submissions and big moves to eliminate early opponents quickly. This is a match that gets enjoyable (and more challenging) if you increase the difficulty.
It doesn’t have the most spectacular scripted moments, but it’s a fun match that ends the Bloodline Showcase adequately.

2. The Usos Vs. The New Day

These are two of the best tag teams of the current generation, and they’ve had their fair share of matches over the years. 2K25 pits them against each other in a Hell in a Cell match, and it’s unsurprisingly great. Matches like these are enjoyable regardless of who’s competing in them, and it’s no different here.
This match was a recreation of the real-life Hell in a Cell match from 2017, so there are a lot of great scripted moments here. While it’s not exactly as brutal as some of the more iconic Hell in a Cell matches, there are a lot of creative scenes here for you to enjoy. I’m not giving any spoilers here, as this is one you should experience for yourself.

- Arena – Hell in a Cell 2017

1. Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins

For those who know about the history between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, you know that Rollins has lived in Roman’s mind rent-free for years. This Showcase match is brilliant, from Seth’s entrance to the narrative change of Roman Reigns breaking the hold to avoid disqualification. The ending with Roman’s Super Finisher is great too.
This is a great match not because of how it plays out, but because of the emotions involved and how the story unfolds. It’s one of the more pivotal moments in the story of the Bloodline and showcases just how Ruthless The Tribal Chief can be at times.
RewardsÂ
- Arena – Royal Rumble 2022
- Championship – Universal 2022
