The WWE 2K franchise started its reign in 2014 and became the go-to virtual wrestling hub for sports fans all across the world. Having a solid run-through of its ups and downs, here’s how all WWE 2K games rank in our list.
All WWE 2K Games Ranked

11. WWE 2K20

The Showcase mode did right by the Four Horsewomen in WWE 2K20, running from NXT classics to WrestleMania main events. MyCareer had some off-the-wall moments as well, like Broken Matt Hardy’s weirdness.
However, bugs and a weak roster dragged it down, despite decent moves and challenging AI.
10. WWE 2K15
When you hit, you felt it, and big moves were a blast even if the lockups dragged in WWE 2K15. Rivalries showcase brought in actual emotion and depth through scripted moments like the Shawn Michaels vs Triple H feud.
It set the groundwork for later games, but it feels restricted when compared to the series’ high points.
9. WWE 2K18

WWE 2K18 made use of a new engine, where wrestlers finally felt like they had real weight, and the AI mirrored wrestler styles of everyone from giants to cruiserweights. Road to Glory and tournament modes added some needed variety.
8. WWE 2K17
WWE 2K17 introduced motion-captured entrances like Finn Balor’s that looked incredible, with new lighting. Submissions switched to mini-games instead of button-mashing, and wrestlers’ movesets finally matched their real-life movesets.
The roster and soundtrack still stand out as some of the most underrated in the franchise.
7. WWE 2K16

WWE 2K16 fixed a lot of what people didn’t like about WWE 2K15. Huge roster, Showcase mode mixing WWE history with fantasy, and MyCareer stretched out to multiple years.
Universe mode added personality sliders for AI tweaks, and the wrestling itself flowed better with newer animations.
6. WWE 2K22

WWE 2K22 was the comeback kid after years of rough patches (2K19-20 bugs) for the franchise. The moves were simplified into fighter-style combos, and backstage brawls turned into massive playgrounds with cars and platforms for crazy moment potential.
The roster increased in size, and MyCareer finally felt like an epic journey with improved wrestler creation instead of a side mode.
5. WWE 2K24
WWE 2K24 was all about polish. Ambulance matches stole the show, entrances looked more realistic than ever, and MyGM went online for four-player chaos. Showcase mode paid tribute to WrestleMania legends, and gameplay leaned more into arcade fun without losing depth in customization.
It fixed a ton of issues from the previous year and dropped a refined entry in the series.
4. WWE 2K23

The Bad Blood showcase put Cody Rhodes in the spotlight with WWE 2K23, complete with WarGames matches that fans loved. The AI was actually challenging, and GM mode added midcard titles for all three brands, plus the graphics were noticeably overhauled.
It was built on 2K22’s base, making for smooth and addictive action that just had you craving for more.
3. WWE 2K25

WWE 2K25 is one of the best entries in the series. Roman Reigns takes the cover in a Bloodline showcase, mixing real rivalries with dream matches.
The new Island open-world mode on next-gen consoles brings quests, events, intergender matches, and promos in Universe mode.
2. WWE 2K14
WWE 2K14 kicked things off with a bang thanks to its 30 years of WrestleMania showcase. You get to relive legends like Hogan and Austin. Living Legend modes like Undertaker’s streak added brutal challenges, but in the best way.
The roster is packed with legends, and the wrestling feels overhauled, fresh right out at launch. It really set the tone for how storytelling should work in wrestling games and became the foundation for the upcoming WWE 2K dynasty.
1. WWE 2K19

WWE 2K19 perfected the WWE-simulation formula. The controls are responsive, the AI feels challenging, and the roster is stacked with variety. The new payback system brought a layer of strategy and drama to matches, and the pace hit just right without feeling sluggish or rushed.
Universe mode finally had some depth to it, and those annoying mini-games and slider problems from previous releases were fixed. Fans still call this peak WWE 2K experience, and even years later, it still holds up with high replay value.
