Every Attribute For Position Players In MLB The Show 26 Road To The Show
Offering a welcome increase when compared to last year’s selection, MLB The Show 26‘s Road To The Show players can upgrade a total of seven main stats — Stuff, Contact, Power, Fielding, Throwing, Speed, and Other — all featuring their own individual attributes. You can check out an overview of each below:
Stuff

The It Factor for pitchers, Stuff influences your pitching prowess and overall ability to elude hits when the count is high. Here’s an overview of all of the stats inner-attributes, all of which can be upgraded individually during your climb to the majors.
- H/9 R (Hits per 9): Reduces the opposing batter’s ability to get a high batting average (right-handed only).
- H/9 L: Reduces the opposing batter’s ability to get a high batting average (left-handed only).
- K/9 R (Strikeouts per 9): Boosts your ability to generate swings and misses against right-handed batters.
- K/9 L: Boosts your ability to generate swings and misses against left-handed batters.
- HR/9 (Home Runs per 9): Boosts your ability to not give away home runs.
- Pitching Clutch: Replaces H/9 when the bases are loaded. Boosts your Bear Bown momentum and usage count, while also decreasing the opposing batter’s performance.
Contact

The foundation for hitters, Contact influences your ability to score hits against all types of opponents, as well as your ability to identify and respond to pitches. Its sub-attributes are also pretty self-explanatory, as you can see below:
- Contact vs L: Boosts your ability to make contact against left-handed pitchers via a PCI increase.
- Contact vs R: Boosts your ability to make contact against right-handed pitchers via a PCI increase.
- Plate Vision: Boosts your overall PCI size.
- Clutch: Replaces the Contact stat when runners are on second or third. Increases the size of your PCI and your overall ability to score hits.
Power

Power boosts exit velocity and thus your ability to put your weight behind the bat while going for those long balls. As you can guess from that, the stat only has two sub-attributes in the following:
- Power vs L: Boosts the power of hits against left-handed pitchers.
- Power vs R: Boosts the power of hits against right-handed pitchers.
Fielding

Fielding is a straightforward stat focused on boosting your range and ability to react while in defense. Just make sure to also invest in Throwing to guarantee no opponent will outrun your eliminations. If playing exclusively as a catcher, both Blocking and Pop Time replace Reaction within the sub-attributes.
- Fielding: Boosts your ability to perform defensive plays in all on-field positions.
- Reaction: Boosts your player’s overall reaction speed.
- Blocking: Boosts your ability to catch balls outside the zone.
- Pop Time: Boosts your ability to get the ball to fielders quickly and precisely following a catch.
Throwing

The lifeblood of outfielders, throwing influences your players’ arm strength and accuracy, thus boosting the overall speed of all throws. Here’s an overview of its sub-attributes:
- Arm Strength: Boosts the overall speed of throws.
- Arm Accuracy: Boosts the accuracy of fielder throws. Increases the size of your perfect zone when performing manual plays.
Speed

As its name implies, Speed boosts your player’s ability to quickly make their way to base following successful hits, as well as their success rate when going for steals. If you are a contact hitter, these stats are an absolute must and will allow you to outrun the ball for clutch double-plays. You can check out an overview of all of the sub-attributes below:
- Speed: Boosts your ability to move between bases (overall running speed).
- Stealing: Boosts your success rate when attempting steals.
- B/R Agressiveness: Enhances the effects of quick time events while base running.
Other

The stats under Other dictate your player’s ability to clutch it up in the biggest moments, as well as their overall resistance. Needless to say, this makes increasing the stat and its inner attributes a must for any starting pitcher, closer, or late batter. Here’s an overview of all attributes you can find under Other. Keep in mind that picking exclusive positions might lock some of them out.
- Control: Boosts your overall pitch accuracy.
- Stamina: Affects how fast you will tire on the mound and your overall energy.
- Durability: Decreases your player’s likelihood of getting hurt.
- Bunting: Boosts your ability to perform successful bunts.
- Drag Bunting: Boosts your ability to perform base hit bunts.
- Plate Discipline: Boosts your ability to perform check swings.
